Allez Roger! Could be a tough one, Roddick seems fired up.

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Relax

I'm really sad about this result... But I have hopes Djokovic and Nadal will not reach the final and that would be good for the rankings.

Re: *** Miami Masters 2012 *** : Lets do the Double Roger!!

Damn, I really had a bad feeling about this match. Roger was set to lose sometime and Roddick can be a tough opponent. I was able to watch the first two sets and just the first few games of the third. After the second, I had high hopes, but I could see the errors quickly piling up in the third. I just hoped that by the time I got home and saw the score, that Roger would be able to pull through. No such luck. Still, it's been a good year so far. Let's hope that continues.

Re: *** Miami Masters 2012 *** : Lets do the Double Roger!!

The dumbest way you can lose a tennis match . Don't know many guys who can lose it on way like Fed is loosing. First of all I think Fed underestimated Roddick this time and first set was result of that. Can't rid off an impression that Fed lost the match on BP in first set . It's jail bannable to make such an easy FH mistake against guy who serves that big like Andy, winning that point would mean another routine win . Entire first set Fed played like this match is NID and i'll win it easily . Second set Fed played how he should have played first and Roddick was helpless . And that 3rd " i am paying the price for first one " set . Roddick played great all 4 BPs but next game even suicidal person would have played more reasonable . Those 2 FH approaches are comical even for challenger level, and that " all open court " volley . And how it goes every time after these 2 games Roddick serving out of his mind was NID . Probably the last person on entire tour against whom you would want to be a break down . This loss would maybe be useful but our Rogie is too stubborn for take anything from it . Just the match like i doctor ordered for another sleepless night prior to the entire " on legs " day . Thank you Rogie for so much facepalms

Wasnt the worst match he ever played (compared to the complete and utter shit fests of 2010) but just a horrific night on all the big points and to Roddick of all ppl

way to fuck up your season Fed

I guess now he will revert back to so so nonsense until Basel comes around 6 months from now

Re: *** Miami Masters 2012 *** : Lets do the Double Roger!!

The worst thing about this match is the way he lost it. He was moon-walking in the first, looked so passive and once he lost the set, was untouchable in the second. Then from 1-0 40-0, he blows it. This is the script pre-2012. The kind of matches Fed became notorious at losing in the BO3 format since 2008/09.
This year, it seemed like he had put that behind, but not really I guess. Losing to his biggest turkey will not do him any good as far as the confidence from the last two months' work goes.

All that said, Feds was due to lose really after the run he had the last three tournaments. And this may even be a blessing in disguise for him. Gets basically an extra week off now and hopefully will take that WC to Monte Carlo. He could have picked up some points here given his Qtrs draw, but blew that. Has to make up for it, and anyway 7 weeks b/w tournaments is suicide.

Anyway, rest up Rog, it has still been a great start to 2012, lets just see this loss as a small aberration and now, ontto clay after a nice little vacation
Hopp Rog!

Feds really blew his chances here, that's for sure.
Still, that said, Roddick did excellently well, and he deserves all the credits for this victory.

Sad as I am, that's how it is.

Roddick got lucky in that he played a tired and couldn't give a shit Roger tonight. I don't mind that Roger lost (his win streak was gong to end sooner or later). But I do mind that he let Roddick beat him. Puke. Vomit. Hurl.

Why so he can lose to #2 once again? What's the big deal about MC. I don't get it.
