What Rogi matches do you have on tape/DVD?

Hi,

I have loads of matches but only 3 of Roger!! 1st round Wimby V Bogo.
V Hewitt Wimby 2004. V Roddick toronto final.

I was just wondering what matches you have and which are the best ones to try and get?

I'm also interested in where to find them for sale. I really want the match against Sampras at Wimbledon in 2001

Thanks for your help.

I think E-Bay is a good address.

As for the matches I have, they are also quite few.

vs. Roddick, Semifinals, Wimbledon 2003
vs. Philippoussis, Final, Wimbledon 2003
vs. Safin, Final, Australian Open 2004
vs. Coria, Final, Hamburg 2004
vs. Hewitt, Quarterfinal, Wimbledon 2004 (Incomplete)
vs. Roddick, Final, Wimbledon 2004
vs. Roddick, Final, Toronto 2004
vs. Hewitt, Final, U.S. Open 2004

Yea that Hewitt match at Wimby was really hard to keep up with through all the rain delays. I was running up and down trying to get it all on and stop it when it rained and start it when they came back on.

I still managed to get the Henman V Ancic repeat and John McEnroe - Legends Of Wimbledon in the middle lol.

In case anyone's interested~ and wants to tape it, tonight (Thursday) at 11:00 PM EDT the tennis channel is showing a classic Madrid Masters match~~Federer vs. Rios.

I don't know who won and I don't know what year~~Does anyone know?

Re: What Rogi matches do you have on tape/DVD?

Most of my matches are incomplete but anyway:

Agassi-(TMC 2003)

Aus Open 2004- vs Ferrero and the final with Safin

Indian wells 2004 - vs Fish, Chela, Agassi and final with Henman.

FO 2004- vs Vliegen and Kiefer

Wimbledon 2004 - vs Bogdanovic, Falla, Karlovic, and parts of the semi final and final. but i have the closing ceremoning on tape plus post match interviews and analysis. I had the 1/4 match with Hewitt but my cousin mistakenly recorded over it.

Toronto 2004 - vs Santoro and then Roddick in the finals.

USO 2004- vs Costa, Baghdatis, Santoro, Agassi, Henman and Hewitt.

Re: What Rogi matches do you have on tape/DVD?

I have quite a few:

- Wimbly 2003 SF and F
- All Rogi TMC 2003 matches
- AO 2004, vs Hewitt, Nalbandian, Ferrero, and Marat
- IW 2004, don't remember exactly which matches I have Only remember vs Agassi and vs Henman
- Wimbly 2004 vs Hewitt, Grosjean, and Roddick
- Toronto 2004, vs Santoro, TJ, and Roddick
- Athens opening ceremony
- USO 2004 vs Costa, Baghdatis, Santoro (3set TB only ) , Agassi, Henman, and Hewitt.
- Thailand Open 2004 vs PDorn, Roddick

JC, best ones are the Wimbly 03 SF if you enjoy to watch the technical excellence and TMC 03 RR vs Agassi for the excitement value. I will also throw the AO 2004 vs Hewitt in the excitement department.

There is someone selling the Pete vs Rogi dvd for 11$ or 13$ I don't remember exactly. And the price already included the shipping anywhere in the world. I'll look it up and pm you the contact email for that person. I am planning to buy too but haven't gotten around to do it yet so not sure about the quality.

Re: What Rogi matches do you have on tape/DVD?

True,agree with you ytben.

I have some on my own computer but now I can't list all of them since I am in the company.Downloaded them from some website.
As for as I could remember, they are as follows:
1.2003 Wimbly with Roddick in SF----this is the best in my opinion
2.2003 Wimbly with Phillipouss in Final-----not bad, especially the awarding ceremony
3.2004 AO with Safin in Final-----good
4.2004 HongKong with Max------interesting but not complete
5.2003 TMS with Agassi------great

2002, R32, Federer won 6-4, 6-2. I've got the DVD of it, and safe to say it ain't worth staying up for - Rios starts off brilliantly, then gets a bad call against him which he dwells on for far too long and proceeds to tank the remainder of the match. The picture quality was pretty poor on my copy so I couldn't even see the ball when it was in play during rallies, which may have also spoiled my enjoyment somewhat.

I have:

Wimbledon 01 v:
Sampras
Henman (last two sets)
AO 02 v:
Chang
Savolt
Miami 02 v:
Hewitt
Agassi (from 4-1 in the third to the end, I'll buy the full version sometime)
Hamburg 02 v:
Kuerten
Safin
Madrid 02 v Rios
TMC 02 v Hewitt
AO 03 v Nalbandian
Dubai 03 v Novak (second set only)
Miami 03 v Chela
Rome 03 v:
Mathieu
Mantilla (worth getting if you want to see the last time Federer stank in a major final, and stank badly)
RG 03 v Horna (ditto for the Grand Slams)
Wimbledon 03 v:
Fish
Schalken
Roddick
Philippoussis
Montreal 03 v:
Gaudio
Roddick
US Open 03 v:
Acasuso
Blake
Nalbandian
Madrid 03 v Lopez
Paris 03 v Verkerk
TMC 03 v:
Agassi (x2)
Nalbandian
Ferrero
AO 04 v:
Reid
Hewitt
Nalbandian
Ferrero
Safin
IW 04 v:
Agassi
Henman
Hamburg 04 v:
Gaudio
Coria
RG 04 v:
Kiefer
Kuerten
Wimbledon 04 v:
Karlovic
Hewitt
Grosjean
Roddick (actually, because Wimbledon is interactive on the BBC, for a good week and a half I flick between different matches so I have bits and pieces of all Federer's matches from this year's tournament. I usually managed to miss the important moments, though. )
Toronto 04 v:
Mirnyi
Roddick
US Open 04 v:
Santoro
Agassi
Henman
Hewitt
TMC 04 v:
Gaudio
Moya
Safin
Hewitt (final only)
Dubai 05 v Ljubicic
AO 05 v:
Santoro
Suzuki
Nieminen
Baghdatis
Agassi
Safin
Rotterdam 05 v:
Davydenko
Ancic
Ljubicic
Dubai 05 v:
Ferrero
Ljubicic
IW 05 v Hewitt
Miami 05 v Nadal
Hamburg 05 v Gasquet
RG 05 v:
Gonzalez
Moya
Hanescu
Nadal
Wimbledon 05 v:
Mathieu
Minar
Kiefer
Ferrero
Gonzalez
Hewitt
Roddick

That's over 80 matches, and even though I've recorded just about everything from all the big events since IW 03, those are the matches I probably watch too often...

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Thanks, Sjengster. I taped it anyway, but have not watched it yet.

Re: What Rogi matches do you have on tape/DVD?

In that many years, maybe there will be a subheading on the dvd box: "Including additional clips of Roger with Juliette, Roger playing the Alphorn, Roger at the White House, Roger hosting the Oscars, Roger modelling Armani, Roger with his triplets, Roger flying a SwissAir 747, and finally, President Federer or Switzerland taking his oath "

I LOVE YOU ROGER

I'm not sure how that match qualifies as a 'classic'. Roger won that match 6-4, 6-2, seems pretty one sided to me. I dont have tennis channel anyway.

Man, you're lucky. That proves that I still have many, many matches left to get. I taped IW, Henman and Agassi match, but I cant find them Hopefully I didnt record over them.
There are now, so many memorable Rogi matches, but just some of the many would be. Federer Roddick wimby semi. The best match, I've ever seen Federer play. He put on an unimaginable display in that match to completly obliterate Roddick. TMC RR vs. Agassi for the quality of play and shotmaking, as well as pure excitment. I still remember that match, today, and the emotion Federer showed after winning that match. Well, on to ebay for me, I've got tons of matches to get.
