If Roger wins both Madrid and Basel then he should consider withdrawing from Paris to save some energy if he is exausted but withdrawing out of a TMS simply due to fear of losing doesn't make any sense, 1 extra loss isn't going to make any difference.

Re: Rogi Fed in TMS Madrid!

You are misinterpreting me!

What I say is that coming into a tournament as exausted as he entered Cincinnati is pointless, and tat instead of playing for the formality and losing early he should retire in the first place!

Beside, next year we're going for Miami and Cincinnati to complete the american swing!

Re: Rogi Fed in TMS Madrid!

I don't think you'll know how exhausted you are till you're on court playing

I honestly don't care if Rogi plays or not here, or paris. If he needs more rest, more time with mirka on beach or with juliette and baby, by all means. I only wish he will defend TMC, that's all.

But if he's playing, then....

GOOOO.....Fed!!!

That would be nice. He almost did it at Cincy, then lost. I'm still suprised he lost that match, after being so good in the 1st set.

Re: Rogi Fed in TMS Madrid!

A lot of other top players are in doubt or withdrawing so a good chance for Roger here.

I don't think Roger worries much about the other top players.
I think he'll take it no matter who he plays.
(Just my 3¢)~

Allez

Re: Rogi Fed in TMS Madrid!

So far acc to Spanish papers, Moya, Coria, Grosjean, Kuerten and Santoro are not playing Madrid. Of course AA has already arrived bright and early to prepare to win this tourney...

Re: Rogi Fed in TMS Madrid!

will be very interesting to see how Rogi's game matches up with andre's on clay if they play each other
andre's return game is much less relevant on clay
