Basel is in canton Basel. Bâle, en Francais...

Bern, Berne...yes, tis the capital, mostly Swiss German but French is pretty common, esp. with the presence of the different embassies, it's French...

yeah, nice weekend indeed.

Hi everyone, Mrs. B, Rogifan, ILR, Mrs. G, Doris, Nina!

Thanks Mrs. B and RF for the pics!

Its so great to see Rogi smiling and looking happy again. He really deserves this happiness and the whole Swiss team does, too. Its just so wonderful that he won all his matches! I cant believe it. I mean, I can believe it, cause its our Rogi

And the way he won them, all in straight sets. Its strangely fabulous. And how the scores for his singles matches are the same. I wonder if thats a first? What a weekend its been. Love the Swiss!

"My life is a dream... and I only ask that my health holds up enough to allow me to continue doing what I love- playing tennis."--Guga

"It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice."--Rogi's motto

Er, no he didn't . . . he lost

What's going on with him?!?! I don't know. He breaks my heart sometimes. I always feel bad when it's his two losses that make the scoreline so tight . . .
But the important thing is, Switzerland won, for themselves and for Peter. Rogi for saying he kept seeing Peter's face during his last singles match.

So, I'm in for the celebration!! Even if I still feel guilty I wonder if Michel feels guilty, too . . .

He lost???? I read it wrong then. Sorry, Hackie. awww, poor Krati. I remember Patty Schnyder breaking down into tears when they lost their FC match against (i forgot who) feeling so guilty that she gave the match away...hope Krati doesn't do a Patty. But it's not his fault, he tried his best and it wasn't his weekend. Still, they won, and that's that. I'm sure MK's time to shine again will come sooner than you'll expect it...
So let's have a drink on that...

Well, he didn't cry on the court, I don't think, but then he doesn't really strike me as the type to do something like that. But he might cry in private

Indeed, the Swiss have reclaimed their spot in the World Group and have kept their record against Morocco undefeated. I'll feel better about it tomorrow, never fear.

Thanks for the drink.

Good morning to all of you guys!!

Sooo glad for Roger, the whole team and us Fans that Switzerland stays in the world class. Unfortunately wasn't able to follow the matches live only saw the last Set. YEA vs RF and it was a joy to watch it!!

Great reporting Mrs. B. and great pics!!

sorry I'm joining in with the party late but it's never tooo late to celebrate such a thing!!

Hmmm not that easy to describe Basler Läckerli as Mrs. B already said it's a bisquit. The pastry is a kind of honey cinammon mixture and it's yummmy!!

Well concrat's again to our winning team!!

Hi Doris!

I already have tasted a Swiss delicacy -- rosti [mind you it's from Movenpick Marche] -- it's like comfort food! Yum...

Switzerland will be celebrating the DC win!

I want to join in!!

Thanks for your 1001... reasons!

Hi Mrs. B., Lily and TH!

Lucky guys who SAW the matches.

What are we having for dessert besides the Basler lackerli?

I'm still hungry!

So how do you pronounce ROGI?

I'm adding photos from the Moroccan site. Here's a hot one! [Rogi does OK in the heat, doesn't he?]
