Re: ********Monte Carlo '09********

I am torn about this decision. On one hand its good for Roger to play and try to resolve his problems on the field, and on the other I think he needs to take a break and sort out his issues.

Oh well I guess the best way for him to sort out is issues would be on court. I just wish he would get a coach with a fresh perspective.

Re: ********Monte Carlo '09********

I don't think Roger's issues are the kind of issues you can deal with off court. I mean, sticking a little rafa/Murray/Djoko/Simon wooodoo dolls with little pins won't help him when he's 15:40 down, serving at 3:4 in the second set.

I agree, and i so badly want him to get a big Win but I am worried about what it would do for his confidence if he loses another match especially playing like he did in Miami against Novak

However it would have been so much easier for him to have skipped the clay season citing any reason and gone on to play grass. His detractors would have been out in full force saying he is not gutsy, he is a quitter blah blah blah, this proves he sure isnt a quitter and I am so proud of that

I'm sure he gets plenty of advice.
In the long run, he is the one to make the decision.

Re: ********Monte Carlo '09********

Lets not forget that unlike HC, Novak and Murray aren't that great on clay, and Roger has much more experience on that surface.

If he's playing like he did in the Semis, he'll lose in the third round, not just against Djoko (who did nothing in that semis other than watching Roger miss) but I suspect he won't.

U dont have to win this tour, just play beautiful tennis and be COOL!!!

Try finding the word 'Brilliant' in dictionary, and you'll find the picture of Roger Federer next to it.

Re: ********Monte Carlo '09********

There's no guarantee if Roger skipped the clay season or took a few weeks off prior to RG that he'd be able to go into RG and Wimbledon and perform like he has in the past. And all the talk would be about why Roger's on the sidelines while everyone else is playing.

Well a new tournament a new hope i guess...really we can only wait and see if this decision turns out to be a good one or just another chance for people to run those terrible "the beginning of the end" type collums in the sports section

anyway i say yay and good luck to him!!

[Nadal][Zeballos][Wawrinka][Tsonga][Lopez]
[Zabaleta][Dolgopolov][Monfils][Chela][Robredo]

I was in the locker room...Doing some bad things. I cannot tell you....JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO [champion]
Q:What sound do you hate? -A:When Maria Sharapova plays tennis-[JuanMonaco][♥]
I was thinking, ‘Lay down with him’, But if I do that, we’d never stand up.-[Delpo]

Re: ********Monte Carlo '09********

My feelings are: even if he loses confidence after another loss, there seems to be no way for him to gain any confidence not playing. He would come back less fresh and a step behind those who already had played a clay-court tournament. I think that if Roger wants to restore aspects of his game he has to be out there on the court winning matches.

Allez
