Is Roger getting more emotional?

hey there,

it feels like over the last couple of months roger's gotten way more emotional out there, hasn't he? he's screaming more, fist-pumping, pumping himself up much more and his facial expressions seem like there actually is some sort of emotional core in there. he's not the rock anymore he used to be for the last 4-5 years and appears very "accessable" these days, like an actual human being.

i think it must have do to with the fact that he lost his "untouchable"-status and has been downed this year, if you will, which makes him fight a bit more than he needed to in the past.

i like to see him this way, what do you think?

Hate it
I take it as the clearest sign possible that he's struggling .

Seriously?

He's an emotional guy. Much more entertaining to watch when he lets it be released on court, and of course these wins mean a lot to him now he's edging towards Sampras' record.

Tyrell: The facts of life. To make an alteration in the evolvement of an organic life-system is fatal. The coding sequence cannot be revised once it's been established.
Roy: Why not?
Tyrell: Because by the second day of incubation, any cells that have undergone reversion mutations give rise to revertant colonies like rats leaving the sinking ship. Then the ship sinks.
Roy: What about E.M.S. recombination?
Tyrell: We've already tried it. Ethyl Methane Sulfonate is an alkylating agent and a potent mutagen. It created a virus so lethal the subject was dead before he left the table.
Roy: Then a repressive protein that blocks the operating cells.
Tyrell: Wouldn't obstruct replication, but it does give rise to an error in replication, so that the newly formed DNA strand carries a mutation and you've got a virus again. But, uh, this - all of this is academic. You were made as well as we could make you.
Roy: But not to last.
Tyrell: The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long. And you have burned so very very brightly, Roy. Look at you. You're the prodigal son. You're quite a prize!
Roy: I've done questionable things.
Tyrell: Also extraordinary things. Revel in your time!

seriously? you prefer the non-living tennis-god? i don't know. he seems like a nice guy these days whereas there have been times where he seemed rather untouchable - on court as well as off court. i think by showing more emotions he'll have more fans than in the past. opening up will be a good thing for him in all sorts of ways.

you're probably right about the struggling though.

First the forgetfulness, and now he's overly emotional. Could it be menopause?

Seriously.
I understand they mean a lot to him now, but given the sucess he's had when acting like a robot it's hard for me to prefer him fistpumping all over the place (obviously we're not quite there yet)

Why is it surprising that I prefered him when he was untouchable on the court And I really can't give a crap aout him making more fans, he already has plenty enough he even managed to win over the NY crowd too now

Re: Is Roger getting more emotional?

yeah but you're fedtard while i'm ok with roger but don't love him.

and i believe it's great for tennis to see him let it out on court. it's eating him alive obviously during these harsh times, otherwise he'd keep up his non-emotional game, i guess.

Re: Is Roger getting more emotional?

He's always been an emotional man, but perhaps he's expressing it more. I attribute the reasons to the Olympic Gold in doubles, less pressure, and a refound passion in his game.

Roger Federer

Richard Gasquet,David Nalbandian, James Blake,Marcos Baghdatis,Fabrice Santoro,Jonas Bjorkman,Mikhail Youzhny,Fernado Verdasco, Stan Warinka

Re: Is Roger getting more emotional?

He's enjoying tennis much more now which is a great thing.

The BIGGEST (borderline delusional) fan of players on General Message Board according to Forehander:
Grigor Dimitrov: FedererBulgaria
Borna Coric: Crowdmaker
Nick Krygios: Dan.
Tommy Haas: Leng Jai
Sebastien Grosjean: Myself
Novak Djokovic: Chiico (Leader of the No1e Cult)
