Federer is clearly and by far the best tennis player in the world

Just watching him in Wimbledon 2nd round and thinking, how can anyone even think that there is an active player who can be compared to him (regardless of the outcomes of current tournaments). His tennis is class ahead anyone elses, including Nadal.
Someone wrote in another thread "Nole is not good enough to be a part of the big three, there is only Roger and Nadal". No, there is only Roger

Looks like the Fedtards have become insecure enough that they must make these sorts of threads to re assure themselves.

Pathetic.

Re-assure in what? In what is obvious to plain eye? I'm talking about what I currently see on the court, not about the results

He doesn't. I'm not talking results now. There's a difference in class between their's games

Wow, that's never been discussed before

You play only as good, as your opponent lets you to

Maybe a minor difference, but you're underestmating Nadal too much. Roger really plays perfect tennis for grass, but it's not only grass. Rafa is much better on clay than Roger is on grass. IMO, that will eventually cost him the no.1 spot

Well it didn't cost him until now but that's not the point of this thread

Re: Federer is clearly and by far the best tennis player in the world

Federer is not clearly and by far the best player in world.

He's just the highest ranked one at the moment. At the end of year, at the masters cup, after Federer has won and has clinched the number 1 ranking again than yes...I will agree he is the best player in world. Until then I could make a case that anyone of the top guys Nadal, Djokovic, or heck even Davydenko are the best player.
