Do it for Juliette in Gstaad!

Incredibly Roger will be back in action in a day or two in his home country.

Plays first round match against Berdych.

Given that this is on clay I don't think Roger will get very far but after what has happened yesterday, I don't really care

Still good luck Roger! I am sure winning a tournament in his home country would be as special as Wimbledon but in a different way.

Yes I agree Wyv. If I have to bet, I would bet Roger would win his Semi final match than his first round match. This first round match will be crucial if he wants to win this tournament. Even if he is tired, I am sure he will be ready when he walks onto the court and hears the cheer from the audience.

Re: Do it for Juliette in Gstaad!

at the title

though all I can think of is still that "bored, uninterested and confused" look of Juliette's face (like the one in suktuen's comic)

But ya, it's a pity that one of his home tournament has to be right after wimby and worse on a totally different surface.

Let's hope he managed to pull through few rounds for the sake of his home fans

Yep, Rogi must be very keen to play in front of his home crowd. It's a special tournament for Rogi that's why he receives the invitation even though it's held right after the grass 'season'.

I don't mind how far he'll go... i am just hoping he won't get too tired for the hard court season.

Maybe Sampras took over from me and now Federer will take over from Sampras - Edberg

Rogi needs to rest... his fans won't mind if he doesn't do well, they'll understand -- enough just to see the 2-time Wimby champ!!!

Re: Do it for Juliette in Gstaad!

i saw Roger today arriving at his hotel! all the staff were waiting outside and applauded as he arrived. he wore a greenish trenchcoat over his jeans and walked across the lobby towards the lift with Mirka! unfortunately i grabbed my camera a bit too late and took a blurry photo.

will be back there on Saturday, with or without him, will just enjoy the tennis. anyway, happy to see the two-time Wimby champ one day after his win in flesh! also saw Juanqui up close.

Re: Do it for Juliette in Gstaad!

So lucky Mrs. B, Rogi and Juanqui? What I will do to meet them in flesh.

Yeah, he must be physically and emotionally drained after the final. So I'm not really expecting him to go far in this tourney. Just hope he put a good show for his home fans.

Go Rogi
