Yeah I did not realize, however Cañas shouldn't be too huge of a concern. Despite the fact that he will be retrieving every shot ad nauseum.

He's just a better version of Monfils on clay, well he can hit the forehand with more authority. It should be a tricky match but I don't see why Federer should not get to the 3rd round.

That is a good sign, he needs to be sharp and ready to go for his first (2nd round) encounter.

Canas
Starace/Cilic/PHM
Ferrer/Gasquet
Nalbandian/Djokovic
Nadal

Wow. The only way this would be more lopsided is if Ferrer and Nalbandian switched spots.

Canas serving well could pose a LOT of problems for Fed.

I'm not worried about Canas (if he and Roger even meet). If Roger brings the form he had in MC then I think he has a good shot of going deep. What pisses me off is Nadal might be a bit tired going into Rome but his draw is such a joke that it won't even matter. That draw is so laughable we could see Roddick in the QF or SF.

Jen wouldn't that be something, well Roddick did make a semis in Rome about 5 years ago.

INdeed. A tired Rafa having to go through all of the players on Fed's side would leave him at least a bit vulnerable for the finals. There is a real possibility of him winning 30 sets in a row going into Hamburg.

Re: *****Not getting Volandried in Rome 2008*****

BTW, just for fun, the random probability of having Djoko in Fed's half and Nalbandian in his quarter in MC AND Djoko as well as Nalby in his half in Rome is:

1/2 X 1/4 X 1/2 X 1/2= 1/32. That means, randomly speaking, if there were 32 sets of MC/Roma draws, probability says that one out of those 32 sets would have Djoko in his half, Nalbandian in his quarter in MC, and both Djoko and Nalbandian in his half in Roma.

Hey as long as Roger gets a favorable draw in RG, I am willing to look the other way.

Need ideas for a new signature...

Rafa's draw

Let's not talk history yet. He's still making it.

vishido (Ricardo) a rf.com poster saw Roger practice today. You can read his encouter here: http://www.rogerfederer.com/en/fanzo...uTopicID=23069

One thing he said: he signed my an autograph and while he was signing the other autograph I told him: "Roger what do you think about draw", he moved back, he looked me in the eyes and he said "What's your name?", I said "Riccardo" and he said "Riccardo, I'm ready!" closing his right eye.

Nice... seems like he's confident.
