Re: madrid

wow! i havent been on in ages, have been too busy with school.
fortuantely, i have seen all of the matches so far, and the rog is playing brilliantly, the suface is great for his game.
he's played some tough matches to reach the final, and i think that if he upholds the form he has shown throughout the tournament, no one, not even Nalby has a chance.

and by the way, thanx alot NYCtennisfan, you answered the question i was going to ask! GO ROGI! lets hope all goes well and he'll finish no.1 in the race again.

Re: madrid

who is the guy is sitting beside mirka?
and i forgot the name of roger's fittness trainer???????

ROGER FEDERER

the recipe is simple yet but extremely rare:buckets of athletic ability coupled with gallons of mental tenacity are the core ingredients that produce a Tiger Woods,a Michael Jordan...a Roger Federer

roger is the best

Re: madrid

Okay, has Roger even won a Masters tournament without getting HIS SERVE BROKEN?

Did anyone? Would it be a new record?

Although I haven't seen the match against David I think it is highly unlikely that he tanked. He had played a bunch of matches lately and was probably a bit tired.

I haven't seen Rogers match against Kiwi, but judging from the comments Nicolas played a good match as usual against Roger.

Who would have thought before the tournament that David Nalbandian would be Rogers opponent in the final? It's good to see David back in form. I like to watch him play. When he is "on" he is one of the most dangerous players out there.

Lets hope for a good match between Roger and him and that we get to see some champagne spraying afterwards

Fed needs to lead by more than 150 points going into the TMC to secure the #1 title.

At this point, If Feds didn't play Basel and Nadal won Bercy, Fed would be up 134 points going into the TMC (if he wins Madrid) meaning that Nadal would have to go 5-0 and Federer would have to go 0-3 for Nadal to reach #1.

If Feds wins Madrid and reaches the SF's of Basel (22 race points), he clinches #1.

If Feds loses the final tommorrow, but wins BAsel, he secures #1.
Thanks, mod.
At this point I don't care about Fed's tournament victories as long as he clinches #1 for sure!

Re: madrid

Best of luck to Roger tomorrow. Nalby is never an easy opponent for Roger......so, things could be a bit tricky tomorrow. I hope Roger is able to continue serving well tomorrow.

I don't think he tanked..........especially since he is the self appointed no. 1. He isn't afraid of Roger. Not to mention, he wouldn't tank in front of his loony parents.

C'mon Roger, shut up the bandwagoneers and kick Fat Dave's ass tomorrow. You shouldn't be tired, you're the better player, it shouldn't be that hard.

if federer comes out and plays like usual, he should kick dave's ass indoors.

but we could get federer truba, the one that showed up in canada against the joker.

Nobody's ever done it although Edberg and Becker might have in 1990. The ATP site only gives match stats for matches starting in 1991.
