So you were saying I'm not human

Anyway all his matches are out of my control. I, as well as all of us, are completely onlookers. I think it's not that difficult to understand my mind--I simply can't accept sb is potentially better than him technically. Call me narrow-minded or hopeless or whatever

Who knows? Maybe we should use our faces for avatars, then it'll be easier to talk.

I did not say that I'm in control of his matches. It's easier to forget a loss if Fed did not control the match/did not have an opportunity to win.

Well Baghdatis is a player I like but I would still be rather pissed if roger lost to him even though that seems like a real possibility.

Similar thinking over here.

I don't think he will lose to Baghdatis.

OK, starting from you , and then I decide if I follow suit

It's definitely not easier. 05AO came to mind, and will be there forever.

OK, to make it more clear, if he loses because he doesn't play well or has some physical problem and his opponent has a better day, it's easier to for me take. If he plays ok and loses what he is supposed to win, I get pissed but can get over that quite quickly. If he plays well and loses because he gets outplayed, that's what I find most difficult to accept.

But all in all, as Roger is my outright and only fav, I hate it every time he loses no matter how and why he loses and find it hard to accept. And it will remain the same

Since he only lost around 5 matches each year for the past three years, basically I have had some very good life following him and a lot of enjoyment watching him play. There will be tougher life ahead of me and all of us but watching him play is still such an enjoyment and I love it so much, so anyways I'm happy I was a fan at the very beginning, though like you said I won't allow myself to repeat it after Roger retires

e.g.?

Guga in RG 04 was what came to my mind right away.

Personally, I don't know if I can even categorize Rogi's losses coz I hate them all But I most certainly hate it the most when he loses to players I dont like at all...I actually accepted pretty easily when he lost to Gasquet in Monte Carlo probably coz in my mind Gasquet played pretty nice tennis to beat him.

I actually thought Rafa absolutely brings out the "worst" tennis in Rogi instead and I'm saying that with all credits to Nadal.

Re: Favourite players beside Roger and how you feel when they meet each other

I guess I only realised just how much of a fan I was of Roger's when he played Andre in the USO 2005 final. I couldn't decide who to support before it started .. part of me wanted Andre to win so he could finish his career on a high (I'd assumed he'd retire if he won). But as the match progressed, I realised just how much I really wanted Roger to win at all costs. But when it got to 5-0 in the 4th set, I was yelling out "Please don't bagel Andre, Roger, he doesn't deserve that"! That was the last time I ever watched a match not 150% rooting for Roger.

I groaned when I read that he hopes to play until he's 35 ... not that I want him to retire anytime soon, but its the thought of all that emotional investment in Roger's matches that will wear me out over the next 10 years

Minnie, I can understand what you were going through the US Open final. As much as I would have loved to see Andre ending his career with a title - and I think he would have retired immediately if he had won the match -, not to Rogers expense.

Yes, Roger just say he want to play untill 35, but that need to see his body and healthy condition.
Of course I love to watch Roger's match, but I think if his lost too many matches will his is more old, he will not play.

Re: Favourite players beside Roger and how you feel when they meet each other

Roger is my only favorite player. So I just hope that I will never again hear some posters here saying that they wouldn't mind if Roger lost to their other favorite player at USO or any tournaments. It broke my heart when I read a few posts like that before the Montreal finals and Roger really lost to Djokovic.

Tout a fait d'accord avec Soonha.
