Well, as to put in a critical note here - last year a lot of the players were quite annoyed that Krajicek sort-of seemed to COUNT on a Rafa - Whoever final. He got what was coming to him there.

Well I guess as a tournament is he the "director" you'd want the top seed or top players to make it to the final, because they keep fans excited and attract the crowds.

That's true - but Krajicek really overdid it. Kept going on-and-on-and-on on how much he'd like to see a Rafa - Hewitt final ( ehhh... Hewitt? who's THAT in modern tennis???)

I well remember an interview with Tursunov, saying that "Rafa is NOT the only player around over here - we are able to play quite a bit as well" - clearly showing his annoyance to all that had the open mind to see it. Seppi said the same thing - and I'm sure they weren't the only ones who felt this.

Nothing against Rafa btw. He couldn't help this at all. Did his best - but failed, like all the 'top stars' do, once in a while. I'm sure the Rome organizers didn't appreciate Roger bolting out against Stepanek either...

True on that end, it's not fair to the other players, and it's actually a bit disrepectful, they can play too and sometimes the lower ranked players play with more heart and conviction than the top players. All these players deserve respect because it's not by mistake that they make it to the top 100 or top 50.

Well all I could say about it in the end, is that Krajicek got what was coming to him...

I agree that Krajicek kept talking too much about the "top players" and sort of ignored the other players. Especially after the seeded players had all crashed out because in my opinion it wasn't like the unseeded players that made it further weren't playing good tennis and I still enjoyed the matches even though the seeded players had already crashed out.

Well said, Kimberly.
Those lower-ranked players deserve RESPECT, too. It's just like Krajicek forgot about the fact that they, too, know how to play the game. Well like I said - eventually he got what he deserved I think.

Exacty that's why having a big mouth or overestimating or underestimating ahead of time is not a good idea. Hopefully he learn the lesson.

That would be the perfect tennis dream. But aren't tickets impossibly high priced and everyone except the true VIP's need to Q, which is ridiculous.

I got picked to receive two tickets for court 1 on the second monday of Wimby this year. I got rreallly excited cos they were really good seats until I saw the date and that was first day of my holiday

Wimbledon policy is you cant exchange tickets for another day with no exceptions to anyone :help

anyway, SEC is coming to London in 2009, so hopefully I will see Roger there

.Roger Federer.
