Not in a tourney but at an exho in 2007 -- vs. Pete Sampras at Shah Alam Stadium, KL in Malaysia.

In Italy fans, a lot are kids, are noisy and not very discrete so they don't wait in a calm polite way for him (or who else) to sign them the autograph.
This makes Roger but other players or famous people generally not so patient and it's difficult to communicate with him/them.
I could only congratulate with him and he thanked after hi signed the autograph but didn't write a phrase but I feel lucky I could see him so many times, considering I've been followed him for not so much time and considering millions of people around the world dream what I could have in the last 2 years. Of course he misses always and more you see him more he misses to you but that's the life and you have to go ahead and be happy and tell to you you don't miss him.

It's much more pleasant anyway to have such a moment with him in which you can say a few words to him

I just asked once at a fanclub event for a dedication on a picture he signed for me. He had the time to write those stuff but I wouldn't ask him for something like this when it is crowded and he is in a hurry.

It's true indeed that many people will never get the opportunity to see Roger playing live or being able to say a few words to him.

Wise words Luna

I'm getting more and more emotional every time I was at a tournament as you don't know how often you will get the chance to see Roger.

I know that I should just cherish the moment but I can't help it to feel sad

At least it was a more relaxing way to watch Roger play as if it would have been a match on the tour

2015 Wimbledon

R1 vs Dzumhur
r2 vs Querrey (that shot between the legs)
r3 vs Groth
QF vs Simon
SF vs Murray

cool matches I saw that didn't involve Rog: Nadal vs Brown, Gasquet vs Wawrinka

Lucky!!! Roger was in impressive mode in thoses matches (in the whole tournament really)!

I only ever saw Roger play in 3 exhibition matches - agaisnt Tsonga and Bellucci in S縊 Paulo (2012 - he had won Wimbledon and regained #1 that year, so it was incredible, he was so relaxed and cool and I got a pic and autograph) and against Stan in Zurich (2014 - very cool match, but I was struggling to understand the language and it was so fast!).

I'm trying to plan to go to London next year or maybe the US Open! I am desperate to see him play in a real tournament before he retires.

Which other tournaments have you been to? You go to Wimbledon for some time now, right?

Did you come over to Zrich only for the Match for Africa or have you been in Switzerland for some time?

It's always amazing how far people travel to watch tennis...

Great that you managed to get a picture and autograph from Roger

Yes, you should really see him playing at a tournament if you have the chance to do so.

I was very lucky to be in Switzerland at the time but I did travel to Zurich especially for the match, I was in the italian part of Switzerland. Only 3 hours by train though, plus wonderful landscape!

If I ever go to London or America then it's 99% Roger motivated! Lol
Nice to travel of course but Roger is a unique player - we won't get many more chances to see this.

He was so very kind too - he waited for me to take 3 pics because the first two were terrible!

Re: At which tournaments have you seen Roger playing live?

I have planned a trip to Melbourne to coincide with the early rounds of the Aus Open and plan to finally go and see Roger play there for my first time

Now for tickets, Rod Laver Arena for the night session is the most likely right?

Furthermore I have to wait for the schedule to see if he will be on day 1 & 3 or day 2 & 4 before I buy round 1 / round 2 tickets?

Federer Djokovic - Del Potro - Soderling - Tsonga - Dimitrov - Haas - Wawrinka - Paire
