Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

Come on Roger!!! There's a reason for you drawing good players on clay.

Gaudio is very good when I saw him vs Hewitt (until he choked of course), so Roger you need to play your best for sure!

Just play a good match, get more comfortable and confident on clay.

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

a real nightmare draw for Roger
Potentially

R1: Gaudio
R2: Lapentti
R3: Gonzalez
QF: Moya
SF: Ferrero or Safin
F: Coria

I guess he will get a proper clay workout even if he loses straight away and Roger is known to produce best form in tough draws

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

oh dear...now that you'd listed it down, it looks even worse than I thought it was

but yeah, I hope he'll come out and have a good match vs Gaudio, win or lose.

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

definitely a tough draw for Rogi considering his state of mind, lack of matchplay and pretty solid opponents

HOPP, ROGI!!

Get over it, Rogi, ASAP!

I'm worried about this draw

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

I will take this one match at a time. I do think Roger will be more cool head than last week and patient too. I just hope he can do well here.

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

Getting to a QF would be a terrific achievement with this draw, and good clay preparation. Anything beyond that would be outstanding.

I'm gonna agree with dirk this time. Just one match at a time.

btw, if I mean just if ...he can make it to the QF and have a potential match with Moya, that'll be awesome. I saw part of Moya today, that forehand is , he totally outplayed David.

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

Does anyone think he can actually get through this draw? I mean, it's the kinda of thing he would probably have to face in the French Open. Like all thoroughbreds, he seems a bit highstrung.

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

Well it w be great if Rogi can overcome this tough draw as he has in the past and just focus and be patient and not let his head take over... if he makes the QF it will be a feat in itself... and to meet w Moya, well...

Right now I'm only concerned about his first rd vs. Gaudio, who is probably thinking he can beat Rogi no problema...

HOPP, ROGI!!!

Re: Rogi in TMS Hamburg!

The draw is very tough, but if Roger is to win Roland Garros he will have to play a list of good players in a row like this, so this is good practice

Hopp Rogi!
