McGee was struggling with something on his hand. Don't know if it was really that serious, but started in the 2nd set. Sandgren also changed tactics. A little more aggression, variety - stopped just standing 10 feet off the baseline and trying to whip higher spinners like Nadal. #1, he can't spin it like Rafa, #2, this court is not conducive at all to high bouncing shots. IF he does that against an aggressive power hitter he's going to get whacked.

Sandgren surprised me with his aggressive variety at times, though - would love to see that more than a couple points a set!

He is only aggressive when he is forced to be otherwise his matches are typically long with a lot of grinding points. Even though I root for him, I usually avoid his matches

It was something about his finger I guess. His collapse peaked at 1-5 or so when his outburst outperformed Sandgren's ones despite the fact that he was very composed all the match

his 1st serve % in the first set was like 25% until he made a couple serves late to get it into the 30's
