Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

Bega d Ouahab 6-1 6-3

Lamine completely threw these last few games. No fight whatsoever and absolutely the worst footwork I have seen in a long time.

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

What a comeback by Bega from 6-1 *0-3 *0-30 to 6-1 6-3

Ouahab maybe a LL? Don't care at all. Nice win for Bega.

1st seed in Q, playing doubles as well, maybe gets a LL spot?

This looked like a intentional tank. Even on HC he can do much much better.

Quite possibly.

But the footwork problem was not related to that. On the baseline, he was hitting the ball way too close to his body on almost every shot

i mean, i dont even know who the other guy is
grigelis is clearly struggling with confidence, i ve been told from a source close to him he is quite depressed and doesnt know how to fix all this and get back to the winning streak. its not that he is considering to retire, but not his best moment mentally at all right now

I saw all the match, Adelchi outplayed Grigelis hitting some amazing shots, especially with his fantastic backhand.
In the second set Grigelis tried to be more agressive going often to the net, but Virgili finally won the match quite easily.
Anyway the difference of talent between the two is huge.

As in, Virgili has more talent? I can't judge that, but Laurynas has a lot of talent IMO.

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

Virgili is a big talent and was ranked ~800 couple of years ago but then he struggled with injuries and other stuff.
Normally he has potential to be ranked in the same region as Grigelis between 300-500 for sure.

yeah, Virgili is far more talented, Grigelis a part from the service is really not so impressive.

Laurynas is a good indoor hardcourt player, but I doubt he could get the top100, even if I hope he did because I support him, he is a very nice guy, and speaks a perfect italian.
