Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

Virgili is a big talent and was ranked ~800 couple of years ago but then he struggled with injuries and other stuff.
Virgili struggled with injuries since he was 15/16 years old, he could not stay in a tennis court more than 50 minutes for back pains. He almost retired, few years ago he restarted to play only for funny, without a coach. Now he is more healthy, few weeks ago he got finally a coach, Fanucci (Volandri's coach), and seems that he wants really to try to have a good career.

For now he has too many ups and downs, he can beat a top100 player and the the following week lose from a top800 player...

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

Virgili is one of the biggest talents in the game IMO. Very similar to Dolgopolov.
i will keep an eye on him, but to me saying this seems like the one who said inzerillo was "potentially better than gasquet". he even named his cheering thread like this...

Grigelis' potential is between 300-500, yes. A lot of players are ranked higher than they should be. Look at names liek Alund, Pella or this clown Schwartzman. Last one is not even Top 200 level.
It's not my problem if you start to cry because i criticize one of your 10000000 beloved players, fanboy.

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

wtf? :spit: im not his fanboy. i dont like him that much. but saying his potential is 300-500 is stupid, specially when being that young he has been a top 200 player being that young  also, he is so talented and everyone else knows it. i guess you havent even seen him playing, same as other players you always talk about

Don't talk nonsens. I watched him couple of hours ago against Virgili. Where are his special talents? I missed it completly.
I can remember a match of him in Orbitei last year where he was clowning around against a mug like Olivetti who is one of the worst return players on the tour, fanboy. How many players are you support? 1000000? Everyone? Please. Don't talk about talent. You could not recognize talent if it's in front of your nose.

Grigelis had 2 good seasons on CH/ITF circuit, he had a decent ranking but his NORMAL potential isn't Top 200 or Top 150. Fact.

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

taro  random schedule again. when he is ok, he plays 10k tournaments, when he struggles with confidence but has a ranking to play a main draw on a challenger plays there. should have won against lajovic last week, but not a chance this time, and i hope his random schedule stops soon...right now he should be playing futures, maybe even 15k, but no challengers, as he has no confidence on his game, and he needs to be confident to succeed at challenger tour...it would also help if he improved his serve...

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

olivetti beats olivo 63 76, NID on quick surface though...but quite an upset if we look at the rankings
propoggia, caruso, lammer and middelkoop also won today

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

@fanboy
Sorry, i don't have 300 players to follow and cheering for them in every disgusting tournament, even in doubles on the ITF circuit.

btw: Olivetti was pretty bad today. Virgili with a nice choke in the first set. All in all a nice tournament. Look forward to Segovia. Should be much better in terms of quality.

Re: Week 29 : Recanati (Entry List)

guez def fabrice martin 75 63...
Not surprised, as I wrote before. Martin isn't a Challenger-level player in events other than Recanati and Guez, though a bagel boy against the best Challenger players, is too experienced to be outhit by his compatriot. He has been eating weaklings on the Challenger Tour for dinner for years now.

Bye Martin, better luck in Futures :wavey:
