He is a tall guy I remember seeing him play in Montgomery. But he was an average at best college player.

Yes, average at best, but with a huge serve and on grass that counts for a lot.

He also got a soft draw. The one seed in his section had never played on grass prior to this event and lost in the first round to the guy Coupland beat in round 2. The other, who Coupland beat today, isn't in great form.

Bemelmans won the first set over Smughurst 7-6. Good set for Ruben. Now make it quick!

Re: Week 24 : Nottingham-2 (Entry List)

josh didnt look convinced to try to win the match after dropping first set. he served quite badly, and made stupid unforced errors...he has to be way more consistent with his game style
well anyway, good luck in the qwc playoffs later this week!

Re: Week 24 : Nottingham-2 (Entry List)

I told you about the wasted WC for Milton but as a fanboy you can't be objective enough to admit that other guys like Ward-Hibbert would be a much better choice. Hope he can't qualify for Wimbledon Q because he get destroyed there. Bageled on grass by a guy like Sugita. What a player.

Re: Week 24 : Nottingham-2 (Entry List)

sorry but i dont give the wcs, im not the tournament director. its not my fault that ward-hibbert wasnt given one. and as a milton fan, i get happy he got this wc, as he is not given many wcs into challengers main draw. i hope you can understand this

You attacked me for saying Ward-Hibbert deserves a WC more than Milton because you call it "trolling" and "bashing" a player. Milton is nothing. Ranking is a joke. Deserves four numbers in his ranking and not three.

Re: Week 24 : Nottingham-2 (Entry List)

i didnt attack you for this, and its you who said milton was a "mug" with "no past and no future", or "worst player i ve ever seen" and similar stuff. and honestly im not sure you have seen him playing ever, considering your comments about his play style last week

as i said, it was the tournament director who gives the wcs. its not my fault ward hibbert wasnt given a wc.

oh, and also, you can arguee that ward hibbert deserved a wc over milton without insulting and bashing milton. have you tried to talk about why ward hibbert would deserve it more without insulting anyone? guess it wouldnt be your style, though :P

Wasted WC. Milton has no future and no past. Pure average. Will prob not even win a set against Sugita. Shame that a guy like Ward-Hibbert who played in Egypt on clay on Thursday and is a local player didn't get a WC but he will qualify i hope. Cmon Josh! I hope he will get a QWC for Wimbledon, too. He has the perfect game for a grass court. Big forehand, big serve, good net play and a bombing one-handed backhand.
What exactly is/was your problem with this post?

I guess i was 100% right with my point of view.

And i am 100% sure that Ward-Hibbert will give a good fight against Young tomorrow who is a much better grass court player than Sugita.

With Ward-Hibbert's serve he should be able to keep the score respectable on grass against most opponents.

Re: Week 24 : Nottingham-2 (Entry List)

lol I a Huge Josh Ward Hibbert & Liam I also thought they should have gotten a Main Draw WC due to the fact there young and upcoming player who we might be seeing on the Big Event like the Slams in next few years But their results has been mix they both been up and down with winning so for this season Mostly Liam Josh has been a little more consistent outta the two So I guess the Tournament director wanted them too earn their way in and show that they capable of making the MD, In a Way I happy for that because Josh got some Matches under his belt & also got some points for Qualifying. I don't Know Nothing about Josh Milton as far as how he play or how his result been this year, but I guess they give it too him because his ranking higher
