Re: Week 18: Tallahassee (Entry List)

Wonder how many times the term "big serve" can be used in one match by the broadcaster. I just tuned in and have already heard it 3x.

Re: Week 18: Tallahassee (Entry List)

Alex Kuznetsov into MD Roland Garros. More important (for me), is that Arguello has a tremendous win! He won't stop! But I am happy for Alex, I live in US now so know about their players, he has had a long road here.

Horacio Zeballos - Maximo Gonzalez - Eduardo Schwank - Carlos Berlocq - Diego Schwartzman - Facundo Bagnis - all the other Argentinos

Re: Week 18: Tallahassee (Entry List)

Break Dancevic *5-4. Christian Harrison's footing isn't totally sound on clay, not surprisingly. Not nearly as stingy with UEs as he is on HC

Hero of the day: Facundo Arguello. Thanks for taking out Odesnik and making sure Alex got the WC.

Great wins for Alex, Smyczek, Kudla.

Not really a good match in general. Frank's bandage looks very serious; I hope it's just out of precaution and that he isn't still in pain.

On the plus side, Dancevic is getting hotter as he ages

Still can't get over the fact that this guy is named Happy! Crazy name. We haven't had one of those take sports by storm for 15 years, when it was Happy Gilmore in golf

So today was my last day there, but yep, Arguello played great, Odesnik just didn't have enough to work around or past him, though honestly both were well behaved I must say. (sadly Odesnik actually had fans)

Kuznetsov is nursing a shoulder issue, he won, but I wouldn't be surprised if he either withdrew or tanked tomorrow, now that he has the WC, not much to play for and he could use the rest.(He also pulled out of dubs with Zverev).

Young is actually looking much more confident, really his whole attitude is improved, game looks better, Zverev had nothing to worry him today.

Ryan Harrison also looks to be better focused, not the cleanest match against Bogdanovic in the rain, and he did go beserk and snap a racquet in the 2nd set, but still looks like a cooler customer than before.

Stebe looked good enough against Jeong who ran out of gas basically, Melzer also ran out of gas after playing a tight set with Smyczek.

Kudla was streaky but decent from the baseline against Klahn, messed around in the 2nd set though.

Re: Week 18: Tallahassee (Entry List)

Thanks nolesfan. Being streaky seems to come naturally to Kudla Inconsistent and quite a few bad losses too. But I like the guy.

Re: Week 18: Tallahassee (Entry List)

This guy Agueso is really making a killing coming out of nowhere during these three tournaments. How hard is to pronounce Arguello?

Arguello looks deflated. Too many forehand errors, was up 2-0 in second, broken twice now *3-2 Kudla up a break.
