Re: Week 17: Sao-Paulo-2 (Entry List)

Unles he is sure that he will get a WC in Estoril, I don't know what the hell Gastao is doing here... The same aplies for Machado and Pedro Sousa... Cause neither of them has the rank to get in directly in Portugal Open.

They need points and they can still lose before the weekend. Beside that, Pedro will probably receive a WC since he's managed by João Lagos. Elias and Machado will probably play the qualys on PO but Machado has to make the qualies and Elias will manage that for sure.

They can only win 2 rounds maximum if they want to get to qualis on time. They have to be here friday until 9 pm, if I am not mistaken. And it's not like Sao Paulo is a neighbour city.

But yeah I do believe Pedro will get the WC. Joao will get one for sure, if he recovers from injury, of course. He was announced in the ads for the tournament. The other one will probably go to Fred. It hurts to say this as a fan, but I think it will be kind of waste, but we all know he has great history there, being our only finalist. But wouldn't be too surprised if they gave it to some star like Monfils. If I was Joao Lagos, I would give it either to Elias or Machado, but maybe to Elias a bit more.

Monfils will go to Munich.

2 rounds still very important for Machado (will drop out top-300 on monday) and for Pedro. And even for Elias, Challenger QF's stills nice.

Looking at the results from the past weeks, it will be ridiculous if Gastao doesn't get a WC into Estoril.

PORTUGUESE ARMADA!!!

*JOÃO SOUSA* *GASTÃO ELIAS* *FREDERICO GIL* *PEDRO SOUSA* *RUI MACHADO*

Yeah, but you have João (number 1), Pedro (managed by João Lagos), Gil (finalist) and Rui Machado (best ranking ever). Not easy to decide...

Mainly due to challengers vulturing, but yes. But I think even with that record, Gil is considered ny all people here as the best portuguese player ever. He is the more popular and if you ask people who know nothing about tennis to say a name of a portuguese tennis player, they will say Gil, for sure. Also in the number of likes in the FB page, there is a huge differente. Gil even has more likes than many of Top 100. 18k, against the 7k of Rui. And that's because Gil achieved much greater things in big tournaments.
