Not an injury. Illness. Much better now. Taking a couple of weeks off to go to AUS for a break and then on to the China International Tennis Challenger in An-Ning, P.R. CHINA.

Re: Week 16 : Mexico City (Entry List)

DY making a battle of it in his 1st rd match. Was down 2 breaks, 5-2 kin the 3rd. Got 1 break back, but guy is serving for the match again. Hopefully he'll get a bit tight.

Edit. Was not to be. Dude held pretty comfortably. Was 11/11 on 1st serve pts in the 3rd set.

Re: Week 16 : Mexico City (Entry List)

IMO Ram is a complete moron. Was bageled in the first on 14% service points won, had an MTO, was broken to love and still didn't retire. Ended up losing 6-0 6-3 but apparently going in he had a shoulder issue and obviously not being able to serve confirms that.

Why would you continue to play if you're obviously injured and don't really have a chance to win? Is he just trying to destroy his arm?

Re: Week 16 : Mexico City (Entry List)

Pospisil def. A. Benneteau 5-7 7-6(8) 7-6(3)

Pospisil saved 3 match point in the second set TB. Benneteau was 4-1 up in the decider.
Both were doublefaulting left and right (29 DF in total).

Maybe he felt that the shoulder injury was not serious and that he would likely be healed in time for the R16 or QF. Michi in his current form may not have posed much of a threat, so it's possible he could win despite his serve. I don't know. In any case, I think it's classy (and indicative) of him not to retire.

Re: Week 16 : Mexico City (Entry List)

Przysiężny won 5 consecutive games from 2:5 in the decider and defeated Sugita. It may be the best comeback of the Pole's career as he's notorious for choking.

Mannarino loses first point, then ends up holding comfortably at 15 for 1-2*. Lets get the break back here!

Re: Week 16 : Mexico City (Entry List)

Mannarino gets it to 30-0* and then watches Diaz-Figueroa run off 4 straight points to hold for 1*-3
