Re: Week 11 : Dallas-2 (Entry List)

Question how can there be that many top 50 players? isn't it that they cannot get into the entry list.

Based on 2013 rulebook

ATP Challenger Tour tournaments not scheduled in the same week as ATP World
Tour tournaments, or during the 2nd week of a Grand Slam, ATP World Tour
Masters 1000 Miami and Indian Wells, may offer wild cards to players positioned
11-50 in the Emirates ATP Rankings who have received approval from the ATP
on-site supervisor according to the following breakdown:
$125,000 in prize money up to (4) four wild cards

Based on this rule on 4 of those top 50 can actually play.

You missed the not. I guess this tournament has different rules.

This list is better than several 250's. Wow.

Re: Week 11 : Dallas-2 (Entry List)

Challenger held in US between Indian Wells and Miami (Sunrise, Dallas) has an exception, top 50 players are free to sign in. I think top 10 are not allowed though.

Roger Federer - Martin Klizan - Lukas Lacko - Milos Raonic - Fernando Verdasco

Dustin Brown - Nick Kyrgios - Norbert Gombos - Stanislas Wawrinka - Dominic Thiem

Re: Week 11 : Dallas-2 (Entry List)

Expected this list to be awesome, but this is even better than I was expecting. Anyway, I expect many players from this list not to play. The cut-off in the end, should be around #100. But still, needless to say the best CH field of the year. most of ATP 500 can only dream about having a field like this and we have Memphis as a great example of that...

Re: Week 11 : Dallas-2 (Entry List)

it's good for these players cos they have free accommodation after they lose at IW, on their way to Miami

I wonder if Dancevic might receive a WC as the defending champion.

Peter Polansky
Nestor - Chvojka - Pospisil - Raonic - Peliwo

Re: Week 11 : Dallas-2 (Entry List)

that will depend on who loses early in IW.

they'll probably hod back the wildcards until then to try attract some big names
