Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)

Mugllot def. de Schepper 6-3 2-6 6-3

Kenny played horrible in the 3rd set...I believe he was 0/8 on BPs, missing an easy volley on BP at 5-3. He needs a backhand if he is ever going to do anything with his career

Canada Pospisil - Dancevic - Peliwo

Crazies Dolgopolov - Fognini - Janowicz - Gulbis

Young Guns Thiem - Vesely - Coppejans

De Schepper apparently could have been in the Top 100 this week, which would really be a travesty.

Millot finding some form after a really lengthy period of no results. Quite surprising, but good for him He's going to need the points too as the clay season shouldn't be kind on him.

Good opportunity for Jesse now

Not to take anything away from Millot, but from what I saw this week he hasn't played all that well. He literally saved 3 BPs in the 3rd set off let cords and overall was really just letting Kenny make mistakes

Pretty mug matchup final but I'll take Jesse for the win

I have yet to see anyone play well against De Schepper. The Frenchman's game makes matches really ugly to watch.

I don't think calling Jesse a mug is fair. Sure, his ranking is terrible at the moment, but he wasn't that far removed from the Top 100 at one point and he actually has a really good game for indoor courts (best surface IMO).

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)

Mergea is so bad

Can't serve, DF twice in a single game to give the break for 6-5, nets every return, volleys far out.

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)

This was among the worst performances in tennis history by Mergea, who usually plays easily top 50 level.

Hits 3 DFs in a row at 5-5 30-15 and wastes tons of break points.

Then at 5-7 3-4*, Ratiwatana is dead injured and serves 80 kmh. While the poor returner Marx easily makes his three return points, Mergea nets all four returns against the rolled in serve.

I didn't see the match but i'm surprised to hear that. I think Mergea's return especially on the BH side it's the best part of his game. Maybe he just had a bad day... it happens

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)

Amazing week for Huta Galung as a lucky loser :yeah He saved his ranking, now let's see if he can aim for top 100 (which talent wise isn't impossible)
