Re: Week 4 : Maui (Entry List)

There are quite a few rather mediocre or poor first-round match-ups, but then Klahn and Sweeting meet  Hopefully Ryan can win this event and get his ass back to the Top 100 where he belongs and would be if injury-free.

I think these 1R matches are interesting aswell:

Tim Smyczek USA [4] vs. Tsung-Hua Yang TPE
Denis Kudla USA [6] vs. Daniel Kosakowski USA
Donald Young USA vs. Michael Russell USA [3]
Mischa Zverev GER vs. Tatsuma Ito JPN [2]

Re: Week 4 : Maui (Entry List)

Zverev had to draw Ito.

While I don't rate Tatsuma Ito as highly as his ranking suggests his standard is, I still think this is a mighty difficult task for Mischa Zverev to pass. If he plays at a good level, he'll get chances, and then it rests on whether he is mentally strong enough, which is doubtful at the best of times.

Ito made it to the semis last year, so he will be tough. Also, might have a good crowd behind him since there is a large Japanese population in Hawaii. And yes, there is a good chance of Mischa choking.

Re: Week 4 : Maui (Entry List)

Very cool! Thanks for the info.

Is this something new? Or have they been doing it awhile?
This is the second year we have broadcasted the USTA Circuit. I help run the Dallas Challenger in Feb and we have done live streaming for the last 4 or 5 years and the USTA decided they would try to run with our success. I'm not sure if there will be a broadcaster in Maui this week, but I'll be doing Dallas.
