Thanks for posting the results . I watched a bit of Zeballos and Krajicek. It was the first time I watched Krajicek who has a huge serve, very aggresive from the baseline and his combination of attacking game and volleys are ok. But his 2nd serve performance and returning games of serve effectiveness falls drastically. I think the guy has potential on hard court but needs a lot of work on his game.

Quite surprised with the score that Olivo was defeated . Very good victories for Rogerio Dutra Silva, Britton, Del Bonis and Skugor.

You're welcome. I knew that Krajicek has a very good serve, but never thought of him as a big server (well compared to the other Americans anyway). So far, I watched only 3 of his matches and he seemed like a hardworking player. Doesn't have a lot of firepower compared to some of the other guys in my sig, but is generally consistent and patient. Don't know how his career will unfold, but will continue to follow him closely just b/c I started his thread

Re: Week 1 : São Paulo (Entry List)

i liked zeballos today, at least these parts of the match i saw (he did brain cramp but i saw he tried different tactic than usual, risked more)

but krajicek could beat several other players from the draw today

I will burn

I saw Britton play at Wimbledon courtside a good four or five years ago, and he impressed me. Hopefully he makes some progress now.

Struggling mightily on clay and against American peers from his age group on hardcourt, some people gave up on him.

Well, it's very easy to lose hope with players, but I think it's foolish to give up on them until they're in their late twenties. All players develop at different rates.

Agreed. For me, I still haven't give up on him yet (21 is still young).

Alund used to be maybe n. 200, fell in the rankings but had an amazing year last year, won some challenger and now is ranked n. 120. Good friends and doubles partner of Hora, from Mendoza.
