Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!

btw, as challenger calendar for 2012 is out for jan and feb

kazan, wolfsburg, florianopolis meknes and casablanca are cancelled... (at least comparing to last year)

in exchange dornbirn (austria) will be the biggest tournament of the first 2 months €106,500+H

while we're at prize money, challenger prizes not only don't grow, but usually go down! also, more players will have to be in futures in those weeks...

quite easily the best off hard of the group, yes. If the draw allows it it should be bellucci/donskoy in the final

I'm so sad about this. Lots of tournaments getting cancelled.

Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!

Bellucci WC isn't justified outside being local but he can lose this tournament easily (like last year). He also adds some level and one reason for locals to buy tickets.

Bellucci: F at Moscow, R3 at Indian Wells.
Hanescu: no important results on hard this year.
Lorenzi: F at Guadalajara. Anyway, he even played Cordenons (clay) between LA and USOpen.
Bedene: W at Wuhan.
Donskoy: SF at Quimper (def. Giquel, Clement and Mathieu), F at Penza, W at Astana, SF at Pozoblanco, W at Segovia, SF at St Remy.
Pella: W at Manta (def. all clay court players).
Haider-Maurer: def. Bogomolov at DC R1 (lol).
Ramirez Hidalgo: R2 at Washington and USOpen.

Donskoy H2H:
vs Lorenzi: 0-1 (2009 Ivory Coast F2, Hard, R16 lt 6-4 6-2).
vs Bedene: 1-1 (2012 Meknes CH, Clay, Q won 6-4 6-7 6-0 / 2012 Barcelona ATP, Clay, Q2 lt 7-5 7-6).
vs Haider-Maurer: 1-0 (2010 Orbetello CH, Clay, R2 won 6-4 1-6 6-3)
vs Ramirez Hidalgo 1-0 (2011 Kosice CH, Clay, R2 won 6-4 4-6 6-4)

PAW Results 2010/2009/2008/2007/2006/2005:
Winner: / Stuttgart / Viña, Miami, Umag / Stuttgart / Viña / Davis Cup /
Final: / / Paris TMS / Sauipe, B.Aires, Monaco, Umag / Acapulco / Paris TMS / Tokyo
SF: / / Estoril, Shangai / / / / Stuttgart, Palermo
QF: Brisbane/ Umag, USOpen / / Australia, Nottingham, Olympics, Bangkok / Australia, Sauipe / / Kitzbuhel, Beijing

PAW Rank: 14

FITD Champ: Queens 2010 / Miami, Newport & Stuttgart 2009 / Hamburg & Kitzbuhel 2008
Suicide Champ: Johannesburg 2009

Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!

Was there a good reason for the wild card not going to the top ranked Brazilian in the challenger rankings? Thiago Alves ranks 21st and won two hard court tournaments this season, including the Sao Paulo event.

Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!

Bellucci wild card devalues the tournament in my opinion.

If he wins the attitude will be "so he should, with his ranking!"
If he loses it will be "Muggucci, can't beat a bunch of challenger level players".

I don't really see what the player himself has to gain either. Not a huge amount of dollars at stake.

Kochtavares organizes ch tour finals.

Kochtavares manages Bellucci carreer.

Got it?

Its the same obligation why Bellucci played ch Sao Paulo in 2009 and 2010.

Re: Challenger Schedule update: Challenger Finals added!!

Gastão Elias was the alternate #1, said in his Facebook page that he is IN! Great news! I wonder who pulled out...

Proud fan of:

You are trying so hard to provoke, but fails yet again.

Just concentrate on making failthreads like "2012 or 2013" and get rid of trying to remember what was a year ago.
You really suck at it
