Weird match, saw some games of the last set. Yani seemed to be the better and the more offensive player, but also made some stupid mistakes including 2DF in the deciding tiebreak. Klahn was just defending and counterpunching, I wasn't very impressed by his performance or his potential, but I don't know him very well, maybe american forumers can highlight us
olympics and team tennis have killed this challenger.
The Olympics doesn't really have anything to do with it, only the very top players are playing there, and a few more in Washington, which should leave some decent players for here, but for some reason they don't want to come, but it's like that every year, this event is lucky to have even 1 top 100 player each year, it's so sad.
Agreed about the serve, it's not like his serve was extremely consistent before he got injured but it's just nonexistent ATM. He has some huge, easy power on his first serve but right now anytime he really tries to hit it full speed it's going out by five feet.
