Re: Week 28: Scheveningen (Entry List)

Pretty even match between Torebko and Cervantes. Young German should be capable of maintaining at least decent Challenger career.

Cervantes sometimes makes a really poor shot selection.

Re: Week 28: Scheveningen (Entry List)

Too many wasted chances by Cervantes and couple of really stupid shot selections when he got rebroken serving for match.

Re: Week 28: Scheveningen (Entry List)

Torebko is quite a crafty player. It's great for him to reach the semis on clay, when I think he should be best on faster surfaces. Cervantes is a mental midget and volatile player.

I hope Schukin's injury isn't too bad.

I can't see why people like Janowicz He's not a charming presence on court and his game is ugly to the eyes.

Re: Week 28: Scheveningen (Entry List)

if janowicz makes it to top 50 he'll be pretty hated in GM so far people like the young guy making a progress i think

plus i think a guy like him (and especially it's frequent in WTA with their casual ballbashers) is always entertaining to watch when he's on, when he hits these big serves and winners. because when he's off, it's awful to watch, instantly makes you think he (or someone else with this style) is some amateur without any technique. i didn't like serena williams for a very long time because she was winning matches despite making 70 UEs in a match and it made my eyes bleed, and i didn't know why people called her world's greatest

oh, and i like jerzy because he is polish and watches horror movies

it would be great if he improved his volleys

I will burn
And you will die...

Agree Nathii, Janowicz is simply stunning when his shots are in the court, you can't say the contrary Martijn. I also like him because he's showing his emotions on court, even if it's very stupid most of time

I strongly dislike ballbashers (except for Chardy ). Janowicz can hit ridiculous shots. I was there for parts of most of his matches at Wimbledon up until the R128 match against Bolelli. While I can be in awe of those shots, I just get frustrated watching him. I much prefer crafty players who read the game well.

Note that I'm not denying that he's a great player. But I'm just a bit surprised that he has only been receiving praise on here.

Re: Week 28: Scheveningen (Entry List)

Jerzy is young....It is always good to see players his age progressing up the rankings....He is a tall guy, so I dont think he will ever be the craftiest of players....Isner has a very weak ground game and he is still Top 10ish material...When you are 6'8, your serve and first strike tennis have to be a weapon...After last year, he was slumping so bad I thought things would never get better...Lukasz is going to be done soon so another Pole has to be in the Top 100, so why not Jerzy...He still has time to hone his game and not just be a brainless ball basher which I don't consider him to be Keep up the good work, Jerzy
