Re: Week 27: Panama City (Entry List)

Daniel does have good potential on clay. Those long windups he takes produces a lot of penetrative power on the surface. It also hides his movement. Hopefully now Daniel goes far. I think he plays Witten next, so that will be interesting.

Nothing to do with fairplay. If he would cancelled the doubles okay, but retiring at 3-6,0-3 and playing a complete doubles match one hour later...disgusting stuff!

and please, show me some examples where that happened in the past.

Player A retired in the middle of the second set and could play a complete doubles match one hour (!) later. We should not discuss the massive tanking there from both, Witten and Kendrick. He could play the singles till the end without problems but no...no respect for his opponent and no respect in generally. Kendrick, please retire soon and make me happy. If not, please lose every single match from now. THX BRO!
Vera Zvonareva retired 3-6 3-4 down against Kim Clijsters this Wimbledon, then played doubles shortly after.

If the retirement is due to injury problems that can be fixed, then it's not bad sportsmanship. But in the Kendrick case it seems a bit unlikely.

Still no need to enter a player's support thread here though

Anyway, great win for Kosakowski He's having a bit of a breakthrough year.

Glad also to see Simmonds win a match

Re: Week 27: Panama City (Entry List)

kendrick had a stomach bug

i guess stomach pains are so frequent you all can refer to yourself that in one minute you want to curl yourself up on the bed or visit the toilet a few times, and when the meds start working, after an hour you're fine to run

as much as i dislike kendrick have to defend him in this case

Kim played in 43 countries on 6 continents, from New Caledonia to Andorra or Vietnam, basically in every major tennis country except Argentina, Romania, Belgium and New Zealand.

One of the biggest journeymans of the tour, and still pulling it up at challenger level, what a legend
