Re: Week 23: Nottingham ( Entry List)

Why no second round?

That does not make any sense.

Becker and Mannarino haven't played today a match already, so no problem.

Re: Week 23: Nottingham ( Entry List)

Isn't there anything written in the rules-book stating that a match having started on outdoors grass cannot be completed on indoors hard?

Re: Week 23: Nottingham ( Entry List)

Does anybody has any information what is happening with this tournament? On the official scoreboard there are a whole bunch of doubles matches, but many singles results are missing. Maybe they moved the matches indoors.

They are playing doubles matches indoors, also first round of mens' singles was finished on indoors courts. Second round and quarterfinals are scheduled for tomorrow.

Re: Week 23: Nottingham ( Entry List)

I am really confused by this tournament too....Are they back to grass tomorrow? What if it rains again? The men have to play 2R and QF tomorrow and the women have to play QF and SF...It is really bizarre...So, the doubles matches were on hard indoor? What makes them think the weather will permit all those matches tomorrow? What is their plan if it rains all day? Can the men and women singles matches not be played indoors?

Re: Week 23: Nottingham ( Entry List)

The weather forecast does say light rain for tomorrow, but it should gradually clear up. The weekend looks fine. We should see quite some play tomorrow.

Igor is not very consistent, plus Marchenko might really be on the way back. He likes the faster courts too. But, yes, Igor should have won.
