But if a certain somebody has Darcis as a fave and loves him, then I have to assume his game is not that great since said somebody uses gross generalizations and faulty logic to make others believe their opinions are fact Hope Lukas takes it

Well in their 2 matches on clay 3 years ago, Rosol did not get a set from Darcis, but Rosol is obviously better now, it still surprises me how guys like Rosol are effective clay players.

Rosol moves well for his size and he has more time to set up for his shots on the clay. It's his best surface easily.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Well everyone has more time to set up their shots on clay, it doesn't mean that they will be better on it.

Why are you surprised he does well on clay? Rosol, not like he has the most compact swings and the serve lets him down on the hardcourts isn't such a liability on clay. More comfortable with the movement on clay as well.

How can his serve let him down on HC, his serve is his biggest weapon, I don't get how some tall players like him do well on it, as their serves are less effective usually, Milos and Isner being 2 exeptions, in the past big guys have never done well on clay, why is it so now.

Well, Rosol's best surface seems to be clay. He won enough matches on clay last year to get well inside the Top 100. He even made it to R3 of RG from qualies. Clay is definitely his best surface in terms of the results, but he has had wins on HC (R3 in Miami this year). Never seen him play on grass. Curious what his game would look like on grass. He will be in the Wimbledon MD this year, though, so we will see.

Marc Rosset did well on clay. The Poo had some excellent results on it. Kuerten was tall, the clay didn't bother him did it?

Good serve works anywhere, the height they have can create the angles and the right amount of spin the clay will help that, just basic stuff.

Rosol feels more comfortable on clay in all facets and on grass it's all about his return and movement.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Well he's never been past R1 of Wimby qualies.

Rosol takes the 2nd set.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Verkerk, Jiri Novak 2 tall guys who played well on clay, it's not a new thing.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Week 20 : Bordeaux (Entry List)

Rosol has too much power for Steve. Hitting the ball with good depth the final two sets.

Pull off another miraculous comeback, Steve!
