Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

6-3 7-5 for Bedene over Duckworth, but it took 2:10 to complete the match. Some very long games in the second set.

He'll be the huge favorite over whoever wins this Cervantes-Riba match.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Pere hit a 131 MPH serve a couple minutes ago. He'd be a lot better if he brought out that serve more often, instead of just rolling it in all the time.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

DGT with an early break, lets see if he can do something radical like hold serve.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I don't like what I see from Daniel. He looks out of sorts and very herky-jerky.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Daniel looks really pathetic out there. Brizzi is the exact type of player he wouldn't want to play with his current confidence level.

Disastrous returning from Daniel throughout the match so far.

I never saw live one of his matches, but I see several on stream, and never notice any awful behaviour. I notice that on the other Sousa (Pedro). But not on João, IMO. And he actually he doesn't play like the typical portuguese player, witch is a good thing to have something different. His serve can be a very good weapon when it's on. And he can make nice runs both in Clay and fast surfaces. He's still 22 years old. So he have time to make a good career. Look at Albert Ramos. A challenger player until 24, and now so close to top 50.

DGT 7-6 (4)

He just has to get through this match anyway possible.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

At least he won the set. He played better in the tiebreak.

Vamos DGT win that first singles match of the year.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Sousa seems like a hardcourter to me, personally. I think HC is/will be his best surface. But Albert Ramos was a good junior, so his results now in ATP aren't a big surprise.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Serve seems to be working well for DGT, still plenty to do.

DGT is actually beginning to play adequate tennis. A little bit of pressure being off in winning the first set and his game has awoken a bit. But that backhand of his is still not working.

GSM 7-6 6-3

DGT finally wins.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
