Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Just look at Ouahab. With all the respect - no way any TOP 100 player could lose to him. However, Ungur we see today is a different story...

Losing to Ouahab is just disgrace of tennis.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Yes, Lamine is out of shape and looks like some random dude from off the street. But he's got talent, and has performed consistently well in these African challengers when he's healthy.

Plus, let's be honest with Ungur. His focus/desire comes and goes. Sometimes he gives a fuck, other times he couldn't care less. Today was one of those couldn't care less days.

Riba def. Bedene 6-4 7-6(3)

2:23 it took for two sets. Pere saved two break points at 5 all, which was crucial. Great win for him here. Now the draw is available for him. Let's see how he takes advantage.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Where the hell did this aggressive, offensive, confident version of Simon come from? I know the H2H is in his favor, but I haven't seen Simon play like this in a long time. It's really nice to see.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Riba has no weapons apart from grinding and Greul has that extra variety at the net and shotmaking wise to bully spaniard on the court...good matchup for german

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

I was thinking the same thing.............Greul is a better version of Riba overall. A grinder, but one who can be aggressive, finish points at the net, and hit an offensive backhand, none of these things Pere can do.

Pere does have the serve, though. Pere has his moments where he plays offense but Simon is on the baseline and not letting Riba off the defensive.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Pere is lucky Simon is making a few errors because he's really dominating play, still. Pere's groundstrokes are landing too short and he's running around his forehand and not doing enough with it.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Funny how for a guy who is about 90% grinder, Pere has a 130+ MPH serve. Really bails him out in matches.

Re: Week 11: Rabat (Entry List)

Simon's first serve percentage dropped, allows Pere to start being more offensive and he gets broken. From having break points in back to back service games to staring at a third set in his face.
