Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

Riba is ill. So we can see why he struggled so poorly yesterday. Is it hot in this area of Spain this week?

Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

Pere is competing much much better and Sousa looked done with the entire situation really the entire third set.

6-3 4-6 6-2 Riba

Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

Pere's only bright spot is that he plays Ciric tomorrow, who also was extended in his match and doesn't play long points. He may get another win from this event and hopefully he can.

That explains his condition then. The guys who played during the morning, then, will be benefitted.

I live really close to Sevilla and , by far, I can say this is not the warmest week you can find in a summer here. We had some days at 44-45 degrees Celsius last month.

Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

Yes, but they still did affect him today, so he's probably got a sickness, that is made worse with the heat. Having experience in these conditions doesn't protect anyone from sickness, and when you're already in a vulnerable health condition, playing in the heat isn't the best.

I still think he'll win tomorrow, though. I expect an all Spaniard SF lineup.

But he is from the north-east of Spain, and temperatures are quite different from the south-west, where Sevilla is placed.

Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

Good end to the first set for DGT. Played under control and hit some big forehands. Beating Donskoy would be a good win for him.

Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

Ramos def. Schmid 6-1 7-5

Schmid is the ultimate ballbasher of ballbashers. Ramos led 6-1 5-*0 with match point.

Re: Week 36 : Sevilla (Entry List)

I guess Ramos wanted more time on court, because it's unexplainable for a top-75 to lose 5 games in a row against Schmid...
