Stebe has brought his A-game to this match. He is bossing Machado. If he holds it together, he'll get there without losing seven or more games.

Re: Challenger Tour Finals - São Paulo on Ibirapuera Gymnasium

*4-2 Stebe
Would be very important to win this set 6-2. Then he 'just' has to win the 2nd set with every score except a TB and he'd also start serving in the 2nd.

Yes, Stebe looking motivated as hell.

Assuming Machado holds here, Cedrik will need a double-break in the second set to proceed.

Yeah... would be really sad if it's 6-3 6-4 in the end

OK that was it... Hopefully he wins anyway, he needs the 15 points for the AO MD.

It won't be enough. Machado to good this week to be beaten under 6 games. Why didn't Bachi make it competitive

Or Sela yesterday... Or why didn't Stebe take one of his SPs against Sela in the 2nd set... There you see it, in Round Robin every point is important.

Re: Challenger Tour Finals - São Paulo on Ibirapuera Gymnasium

He's not going to make the SF, but this is still a must win match anyway. Stebe is the way more interesting player and also needs it for Australia, and Machado already has two wins here, so if he doesn't win, it will be a shame.

Yeah! I think a win here would secure him the Australian Open MD.

Good Job Cedrik! Takes the first set with 7-5

Now send him to the Bakery to advance!

Re: Challenger Tour Finals - São Paulo on Ibirapuera Gymnasium

Does the extra game he won in that set change anything? So is 6-1 the minimum score he has to win by still?
