He lost to the same player in three sets on a similar surface at the Wrexham Challenger at the start of the year. Still doesn't answer the question though, given Josh's big improvement in recent months.

What makes it even more of a pity is how much that quarter had opened up - he looked a dead cert for a SF place.

I was watching a few matches for about half an hour or so. Olejniczak looked a decent fast court player, was always slightly ahead in the match as much as I could see.

(5)Igor Sijsling (NED) d. (q)Ross Hutchins (GBR) 6-4 6-2
Terrible result for Hutchins.
Sijsling's slice backhand looked incredibly weak, he seemed to me to be a net-rusher's wet dream.

Sijsling should never be winning on fast surfaces against top 500 players.
Flavio

Back to clay, please

Koning doesn't have much of a game, but he has got a big serve and is incredibly hard to break. If his serve is on, it is not impossible for him to beat the likes of Goodall. If you check his results in Dutch tourneys, he has had reasonable scorelines against better players than Goodall
