these british futures have a lot of upsets. i wonder why milton is playing in the states instead of here. makes no sense to me

Josh tends to travel a lot rather than primarily play home events. Presumably his financial situation allows him to do this so why not see plenty of the world?

Re: Great Britain F7 [11 March/Bath/Hard]

yeah of course he can pay the travelling but thinking on his tennis career, the thing is he needs to get out of this slump as soon as possible. he really cant win a match right now, which is a shame, because he could be quite good indeed. i know i have better expectations for him thatn you guys though. but he is a really good player

Re: Great Britain F7 [11 March/Bath/Hard]

milton isnt a good player. if he is in good shape he can win matches on the itf circuit but he will be destroyed at challenger or even atp level.
the guy has no weapons, nothing.

Oh come off it, this is hysterical nonsense.

I like Josh, he has a fantastic attitude and seems like a really nice guy. He plays every point like his life depends on it and as such I am always pleased when he wins a match. However I also accept that as a player he is nothing special. He is about 5 foot 8 and his natural build is skinny, he has a powder puff serve and no weapons to speak of. He wins matches because he is a tenacious little sod who gives his all and gets almost every ball back. That is extremely admirable and I give him a lot of credit for what he has achieved but as much as I would like to see him push on to next level I really don't see him being able to do so. Nobody will be happy than me if he proves me wrong.

Well Dan Evans has hardly left the country these past few years , but he is a vastly more successful and better player than Milton ! He has been to a huge amount of futures finals and won the odd first round match at challenger level ! Milton however has barely done squat . Not won a futures in a age !

Re: Great Britain F7 [11 March/Bath/Hard]

Be interesting to see how Corrie and Evans fair abroad ! That is if either of them go abroad this year ! Are there actually going to be any 15k s in Britain this year ? Big disappointment if there are none ! Although at least there are challengers . Don,t get me wrong i loved having a Futures where I live , that was awesome !
