Special congrats to Ryan Palfrey, NT's #1. I think this is his first futures MD.

Poor Sam Dowler - it was a very hot day today and he threw up several times before having to retire.

Schipanski got into the MD as a lucky loser.

Re: Australia F7 [September 19 | Darwin | Hard] Main Draw

Round 1 Singles:

[Q]Watanuki (JPN) def. Gao (CHN) 75 62
[4]Look def. Van Peperzeel 64 60
Martin (GBR) def. Ede 63 62
Kadir def. [Q]Palfrey 36 64 60
Leon Frost def. Yilun Wang (CHN) 64 63
[3]Klein def. [Q]Howe 76 63
[7]Uchiyama (JPN) def. [Q]Barclay 62 63
[Q]Davidson (USA) def. Haskett 61 76
[WC]Leeder-Chard def. [WC]Puttergill 61 64

When Chris Haskett lost he smashed his racquet at the back of the court. Then he apparently went straight out to the car park and proceeded to smash every single racquet in his bag! I'm not sure if he then had to go and withdraw from doubles!

have you been attending the tournament Territory? I'm very surprised that Harris was able to get the win over Sadecky. Sadecky probably wasn't 100% but still a surprise nonetheless.

Re: Australia F7 [September 19 | Darwin | Hard] Main Draw

Quarter-finals:

Alex Bolt def. [WC]Andrew Harris 63 62
[6]Nick Lindahl def. [4]Michael Look 76 63
[8]Isaac Frost def. [3]Brydan Klein 62 16 63
[7]Uchiyama (JPN) def. [2]Benjamin Mitchell 76 67 64

Saw some of the Klein/Frost match. Brydan being pretty obnoxious imho. His injury was playing up and he was taking way too much time between points. Zac Frost was quite rightly annoyed but kept his cool and held on for the win. At one stage, Brydan didn't hear a call properly and was totally confused about the score. :weirdo: His attitude didn't make me feel sympathy for his loss.

Doubles final:

[3]Look/Meister def. [1]Gao/Gao 64 64

Congrats!

A shame to hear not much has changed with Brydan. Frost has been playing great of late. Have you heard anything about Lindahl´s Australia/Sweden allegiance? Good fortnight for the young Japanese player Yasutaka Uchiyama.
