Usa F22

Edwardsville,Illinois

Clement Reix is the #1 seed. Good to see him trying some US futures. Needs to take this title and get some good momentum heading into US Open qualies.

last round of qualies had an interesting result. Mousheg Hovhannisyan def Pepperdine teammate Finn Tearney 2-6 7-6(2) 7-6(5). Tearney played #1 most of the year for Pepperdine while Mousheg was in the 4-5 range. That's an upset.

top 8 seeds:

1. Clement Reix
2. Blake Strode
3. Mark Verryth
4. Jordan Cox
5. Bassan Beidas
6. Eric Crepaldi
7. Austin Krajicek
8. John Peers

dangerous floaters: JP Smith, Kiryl Harbatsiuk(but has Strode in round 1)

Paradorn Srichaphan
Kei Nishikori, Donald Young, Somdev Devvarman, Dustin Brown, Steve Johnson, Yannick Maden
Robert Farah, Clement Reix, Alexander Dolgopolov, Nathan Thompson

Re: Usa F22

Why is Smith still in qualifying, he is so much better than almost all the players in the draw.

Peter Polansky
Nestor - Chvojka - Pospisil - Raonic - Peliwo

yeah well my boy roy had a good laugh when frenchy was yelling and screaming and being a debby downer

he ran into a hot player in roy where he is finally back in form. roy qualified last week and got to the semi. was a se this week. roy can beat anyone in the top 200. bigger and better for roy to come.

reix has game, but needs to work on his mental positive game, which roy has mastered

Re: Usa F22

I know Reix personally, from his days at Clemson. I admit he does get down on himself and fiery(in a bad way) when things aren't going his way. But he has game and has already surpassed what I expected he would do in the ATP. Hopefully he got all his bad stuff out so he can be ready for the US Open qualies.

Roy played at Illinois correct?

yes , Roy is still at Ill, he's going into his Sr year. He took off a year as his knees were so bad he could not play. He could run 10 miles a day no problem, just playing with the loading and turning into a shot would hurt too much to play. In that time off he became very spiritual, and healthy. He eats much healthier, meditates, runs in vibram five fingers, and lives for the moment now. His knees give him no problem now ( knock on wood )

He is wise beyond his age.

Lets face it at this level if you have a rock solid mental game it can take you far. Roy hits a huge ball and has all the shots, but his mental game is something to be hold.

Watch good things happen to Roy as he is very respectful for every aspect of tennis and life.

Re: Usa F22

Good gage of how Roy will do in the Big Ten next year with Evan King up next.

Hovhannisyan beats Krajicek. I am a believer in Hovhannisyan. He will make a big impact with Pepperdine next year.

Strode with a nice routine win over the dangerous Sac State man Harbatsiuk.

this week the courts and much slower, so it might advantage king, and he wants revenge im sure.

its a brutal grind out there. almost a black hole for cash for these guys

Buchanan with a surprsing win over Quigley.

Hovhannisyan clutch again.

Devin Britton has a good win. First time in a long time he has had one of those.

Re: Usa F22

Evan King pulls off a bigtime 7-5 6-2 win over JP Smith.

King vs Hovhannisyan
Dadamo vs Strode

anyone's game from here. Hovhannisyan has been so clutch all week but King has been on fire on the slower surface.
