MTF US Political Poll: Democrats vs Republicans in the race for Congress

Who do you think will will the majority in congress?

Will Democrats win both House and Senate, only the house, or none?

What do you think?

It would be a slight change, yes.

Right now it appears that the Democrats will win both the House and the Senate, and I'm really hoping they do.

More important for me, though, is that the "marriage amendment" is defeated here.

I have a bad feeling that New Jersey is going to mess everything up for the Senate. But Stender WILL defeat Ferguson for NJ 7th Congress. That I have faith in

The pundits I read are all convinced Menendez will win and Stender will lose.

If Stender loses, I will cry. The other day I went to a Ferguson rally, met up with 15 other Democrats and Ferguson's bus didn't stop, he just drove by. He had 2 supporters there vs. 15 Democrats. We scared him off. Stender can do it. She has 7 newspaper endorsements.. he has 1.. he hasn't moved mercury out of my town that he claims he has. He must go Scott, he really must. He wants to make abortion illegal, he is anti stem cell research. The only reason NJ keeps a Republican around is because my district is overwhelmingly well-off and they are fiscally conservative, but socially NJ is liberal. It blows.

Menendez has been gaining the last few days. It helps he had Bill around But I don't know... I am not confident with Menendez yet.

Re: MTF US Political Poll: Democrats vs Republicans in the race for Congress

Menendez will win... he's a weak candidate but it's New Jersey and the whole country isn't too happy with Republicans right now. That equals Menendez winning.

Pretty much control of the Senate seems to rest with my state... Webb and Allen are neck and neck. Hopefully Virginia will kick out Allen and give the Democrats control.

And hopefully my fellow Virginians see reason and this marriage amendment crap fails. We're very close to defeating it... it would be great if we were the first state where such a thing failed.

One thing that's very gratifying, though, is that Sen. Santorum of Pennsylvania is pretty much certain to lose his reelection race... and he's the biggest anti-gay idiot in Congress.

Re: MTF US Political Poll: Democrats vs Republicans in the race for Congress

The estimates of Democratic wins are being kind of conservative... some pundits think that the tide will see a lot of upsets that no one predicted and that the "Democratic wave" might claim many more seats than predicted... hopefully Stender will be one of those.

Too bad I have no hope for Al Weed (D) against our Republican tool, Goode. Unfortunately a pro-gay marriage liberal Democrat like Weed just has no chance in a conservative district like mine. He'll be lucky to get 30%, and that's only because people are pissed at Republicans lately.

Menendez is incredibly weak. There is really so little between him and Kean. He is going to win mainly because no one can really see much difference, since they are both unappealing, so we'll vote along party lines... and then, as you said... it's New Jersey

http://www.dumpmike.com/ There are pics there of Mike's bus not stopping. What a coward. I really really hope she is. She's the best anti-Ferguson candidate we've had. I wish my friend's dad hadn't dropped out of the race, he would have been super and I'd be working my ass off for his campaign right now.

Re: MTF US Political Poll: Democrats vs Republicans in the race for Congress

I wish people would really work to get rid of Goode... but people here love him, I just don't get it. He hasn't done ANYTHING for our district. People here just get attached to someone and vote them into office year after year after year. We've had Goode forever... and before that, we had his father forever. Meh.

I like him too, and I think were he a bit more liberal he would make a very good national candidate... being a very handsome man really helps in politics... but unfortunately Crocker has been gaining a lot of ground lately and looks likely to win. Crocker is a great candidate... a moderate Republican who has no ties to the corrupt GOP people.
