The thing is as I observed in GM, there were many posters like him in the history of MTF, seemed to write longer paragraphs but struggled to understand such basic things. I called them "fuctional illiterates" in myself and often they show the tendencies, which in-real-life FIs are characteristic of. Not really a matter for astonishment, since sports/tennis fans often can be so basic as rarely experienced on any other realms of life.

Competent, I'd say. I can read scientific books with a little help of a dictionary, but I always had a hard time constructing more sophisticated sentences, as somebody mentioned before.
I feel like I'm standing before a fence and I can't find a way to jump over it and become truly fluent. I also need some time to think over the content of my posts before I submit them.
