Re: How well do you know English?

almost fluent. I am better at typing it and conversations in it. I am not the best at reading hard english books or trying to listen to native english speakers talk fast and comfortably.

Funny how I think my written is so much better than me having a conversation. I knew what to say but somehow it doesn't come out as what I would want it to be.

Re: How well do you know English?

My writing is so-so. My talking have good and bad days. In my Erasmus days, where I had to speak english for 4 straight moths (and studying in the same language) I can say i was VERY confortable. Sometimes even more than in Portuguese. But yeah, I would still say that my english is a bit above average, for a foreigner speaker, even if I have some troubles to understand very fast and "slangish" british accent.

Proud fan of:

Sporting Clube de Portugal, Fútbol Club Barcelona, Newcastle United Football Club, FK Vilniaus Žalgiris

That's what I'd like to know.

del Potro/Nalbandian/Safin
Tsonga/Gulbis/Monfils/Dolgopolov/Verdasco

ESL, fluent but quiet. I don't say more than 2-3 words at a time.

Re: How well do you know English?

Hmmm...pretty good at reading, pretty bad at speaking as I always get nervous when I talk to others in English.

And sometimes I speak and write Chinglish.Like most Chinese do.

Re: How well do you know English?

Got 7.5 from IELTS recently, so pretty good I guess. Not used to the English speaking environment though, so my speaking at times has alot of flaws and misunderstandings.

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.

Have you ever taken anything like IELTS-related courses and training? In China people spend large amounts of money on it.

Nope, I just have a really good English teacher. In addition, I just try to be involved in anything related to English language : conversations, music, movies, news, sports streams etc. I am going to study in the UK next year, so I still have to improve on some parts , especially on writing
