Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

Pineapple - attractive, yet sticky. I like it, but I prefer meaty delectables on my pie instead.

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

I love pineapples.
They add more flavour to the spicyness of my pizza.

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

Fresh, raw pineapple is tasty. On pizza it's disgusting.

A good Hawaiian pizza is nice to eat now and then. Not a number one choice, but I wouldn't refuse.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

I don't like pineapple off of pizza so I can't imagine liking it on pizza.

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

Tasty as it may be, fruit (or any sweet flavour) on a pizza is a big no-no.

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

I had to say "other" because there was no listing for "haven't tried it".

Pineapple and tomato sauce don't mix IMO.

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

If you're gonna have a Hawaiian pizza, Pineapple and Spam, preferably the more subtle white pineapple, but I'd rather just have extra mushrooms

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

It doesn't sound right, but I had it at the restaurant I worked at, and it tasted pretty decent. With that said, I don't eat pizza ever so my answer is no.

Re: Pineapple on Pizza?

For years, have had always pineapple as a topping. Only recently realised it had an official name of a Hawaiian pizza.

I think the variations are only natural and expected using the ingredients most easily and commonly found in different countries. I would suspect if pneapples had been as "dime a dozen" as olives in Italy, they might well have found their way onto pizzas there.

"When I'm asked, how is it to be around Federer, and what is he really like, I always reply, "I wish people could meet him when cameras or an audience aren't around, as he is one of the nicest people I have ever met when stringing on tour. " -- drakulie
