AAMI Classic, Melbourne

Does anyone know if Andre has confirmed his participation in January's AAMI Classic at Kooyong. I know they are saving the last spot for him!

As far as I know, AA HAS NOT confirmed for Kooyong...and if he does not go to Kooyong, I would not be absolutely sure that he will play in Australia.

And then we have the news from the Sa Jose tourney which Andre has played for a lot of years...it has become one of his "comfort zone" tourneys...fairly close to home (which he likes)...and he and Barry McKay, the tournament director are friends...and the early news out of San Jose is that the lead ads and newpaper promos featuring that have featured Andre FOR YEARS this year do not...he is not even part of the background...and his name is not mentioned...they are careful to point out that it doesn't mean that he isn't coming...but that it's VERY CURIOUS!!! He has won this tournament more than anyone else...people are noticing!

My stance is that I hope for the best...but I'm also prepared for the worst...

For a LONGGGG time, my interest in tennis was completely centered around the Fab-4...Courier, Chang, Sampras, and Andre...I think we're almost done. Thank goodness for football!!!

Sorry for any duplication in posting...But I think most folks are like me, we don't read every post from every thread...

Everyone who wants to go right to the sources can always go to Google search...and type in Andre's name and get all the latest UP TO THE MINUTE news articles from all over the world...no need to even come here or to any other forum ... I mean, if we're trying to avoid redundancy, go right to the source...everything that is posted on here, expect for personal opinions is available to anyone with a computer and a brain. I have both.

I thought this forum was so anyone who wanted to discuss that information which is available to ANYONE with the time to PUSH Google can discuss it!

i do not say nothing against duplication, i say that is already known & discussed stuff...

if you like, you can duplicate too...
in David Nalbandian's section they even copying, modifying posts of each other...

Re: AAMI Classic, Melbourne

Guys,
i asked the official organizers of AAMI Classic 2006 on
Andre's participation and received following answer:

Andre has not confirmed his participation or otherwise. We hope to know more
by the end of the week.
Regards,
David Stubs
AAMI Classic Administration

I also asked and David Stubbs replied stating that Andre's management will confirm his participation or withdrawal from the tournament on Friday. They are currently 60% hopeful he will be fit.
