Agassi out of Paris!

Agassi out of Paris

Roger Federer and Andre Agassi have pulled out of the Paris Masters, starting on Monday. Federer injured ligaments in his right foot earlier in October and is expected to start to train next week, while 1994 and 1999 champion Agassi continues to nurse a back injury.

Agassi hasn't played since reaching the U.S. Open final on 9 September.

Oh no! I have been away in London for almost two weeks and come back to this news! How unfortunate! But Andre is right to get his health back, and to come back
stronger ....

Just my opinion, but if AA doesn't play Paris...or Shanghai...and we still haven't heard an affirmative answer for Kooyong...it may very well be, "Say Good Night Gracie...the fat lady just sang."

CRAP!!

I hope he still makes the Masters Cup.

Re: Agassi out of Paris!

Oh my gosh, are you guys retarded. Do you actually think he was practicing for paris and happened to injure himself just like he happened to before madrid, just like he happened to before stockholm, and the same for federer. He pulled out of paris because Lub lost and is out of reach for the championship, and because Safin probably won't play anyways (if he doesn't play in russia, he's out for the season), thus he has a spot pretty much assured.

Federer is out with injury cause he wants a break
Andre is out with injury cause he wants a break
Nadal is 19, so he still loves play as much as he can, and he wants to catch federer.
HEwitt is out with injury cause he wants a break.

Lets get real, injury withdrawls at the end of the season are cause people want a break.

The only reason roddick is playing is get his confidence back after losing at the US open. He's trying to get so momentum going.

I do agree if he qualifies and skips the Masters Champ, he very well could be calling it a year, but I don't think he will, given this years performance (US open final) etc.

Re: Agassi out of Paris!

just consider the fact that Andre withdrawls after lub loses. He knows safin is hurt, coria and davydenko qualifying, doubtful. He HAS his spot.

The foundation supports and encourages programs creating developmental and educational opportunities for children within communities where Emeril's restaurants operate.

The Emeril Lagasse Foundation was established in the Spring of 2002, and is the realization of Chef Emeril's dream to improve the quality of young people's lives. His continuous efforts to support and be actively involved with children's charities allows him the opportunity to not only raise funds for his Foundation, but to create partnerships that help others with their own charitable endeavors. The Foundation combines the energy and passion of Chef Emeril, along with that of his many friends and partners, in order to have greater impact on the communities where Emeril's restaurants operate, and to benefit the charitable recipients it supports.

Through innovative partnerships, programs and special events, along with support from corporate and individual donations, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation embraces a unique opportunity to grant funds to children's organizations that have a culinary and/or educational component, and to eventually enrich the lives of many young people through the creative art of cooking so that they may look towards a future of creativity, opportunity and hope.
