Kiwi's adventures at the bookstore, first day:
I am exhausted!!! My feet hurt, my back hurts, too, and my knees trouble me as well (especially the right knee where I had a meniscus removed in 2001). I didn't do too much today, just looking around, looking over my colleagues' shoulders and wrapping some books as gifts. I am not allowed to cash, but I can help customers finding books and such.
My colleagues are very nice, and Mr I. said, he remembered my face. Well, I am a frequent customer at their store, I go in there every once and a while and look around and mostly end up buying some books.
Today, I left with three books: Bram Stoker's Dracula (I've had the German version before, but someone borrowed it from me and never gave it back), a book about bears and ...
Hugh Laurie's book "The Gun Seller" (in German). I was so happy to see that book, because I am a huge House MD fan (can't wait for tonight's episode!), and I can't wait to read it. I am really curious if he is as good a writer as he is as Gregory House.
