Suggest a thread

You can use this area to make suggestions for threads that you think are suitable to be moved to this sub-forum.

- Provide links to the threads you want to see here.

- If a thread is deemed suitable, it will be moved as soon as possible. Please be patient!

- The original thread starter may request for the thread to be moved back to General messages, if they so wish. The original thread starter is the only person that can make this request. If you would like your thread to be moved back, request it via PM.

- This thread is only for making suggestions, not for contesting each others' opinions.

Okay, fire away.

Re: Suggest a thread

While not strictly discussion threads, I think it would be good to have pigeons and turkey threads in AD.

Can't find the link to the pigeon one, either the search is unwilling to cooperate or there's no pigeon in the title, but the other one is here H2H Turkeys: When being a pigeon just isn't enough. 10+ differential required

True, it's informative and gets buried pretty quick-style. Agreed, let's move it here.

Re: Suggest a thread

Found the pigeon one H2H : The pigeons a minimum of 5 matches with +4 difference (It's not changing)

Re: Suggest a thread

Do you think this should be here too? I think it would be good to have it troll-proof. Also makes it easily seen too.

Edit: on second thoughts, the pigeon thread is quite useful.

Oh yeah, that's an interesting one. Slasher himself can move that one if he thinks it's appropriate.

With the Turkey thread added I think it is time for the Pigeon one too.

Re: Suggest a thread

So, I was currently skimming through 5 pages in the GM, and I think these threads could be good candidates:

"Who Pushed" RG thread (could be usable for other tournaments if allowed to be expanded to it) - Who hit and who pushed their way to R3—winners %

Doping thread (although, maybe debateable due to it's possible trollability) - Doping in Tennis Thread (No accusations without proof. Wada IC report published)

Promise of US tennis - Some promise for US Tennis, but who will emerge the best talent?

Retiring When in a Winning position thread (full of data) - Retiring when in a WINNING position Thread

I wish this could be, but this might only get limited replies: Which another country would get their first Top 10 - Many "1st Country's Top 10 Player" This Year -- Who's Next?

I think I won't add the "retiring from losing position" thread because they are mainly negative replies.

Re: Suggest a thread

Good one. Let's leave it in GM till it gets buried, then I'll move it up here.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

Moved the other thread up here now. Slasher can move his Glass thread up here himself if he thinks it's suitable. I'd say it is, but I'll leave it to him.
