Re: Misha in the Davis Cup: Quarter Final v Czech Republic

Here is the projected Order of Play for the weekend, though, of course, Tarpischev can change his team selections up to 15 minutes before each match. According to the Russian Press, Misha is not feeling ready to play Singles tomorrow but I am sure he will play a big part in the tie.

R1 - M.SAFIN (RUS) v T.BERDYCH (CZE)
R2 - I.ANDREEV (RUS) v R.STEPANEK (CZE)
R3 - N.DAVYDENKO / M.YOUZHNY (RUS) v L.DLOUHY / P.VIZNER (CZE)
R4 - I.ANDREEV (RUS) v T.BERDYCH (CZE)
R5 - M.SAFIN (RUS) v R.STEPANEK (CZE)

I'm not sure I understand Tarpi-chief's decision

Maybe he wants to reboost Marat's career with a david cup win..

Misha & Kolya playing doubles ? I don't know..

I don't think we are meant to understand Tarpi's decisions - we just have to agree with them

No - seriously - I guess if Misha does not feel ready to play tomorrow (for whatever reason), and Kolya has had no clay court practice, then he has no other choice. I personally expect him to call Misha up for the final day if there is a decisive final match to be played though Davai!

I read about a possible depression time for Misha
Is it true?
probably before the matches started Sobkin talked with Tarpisheb about it

Hi Raffaele Well sorry I know nothing about that. According to some Russian posters who heard reports in the Press there, he was injured in practice on Thursday last week - nothing serious, - just needs about a week of rest I haven't heard anything more sinister or serious - of course if I hear anything I will let you know.

Hi

I didn't hear anything about a possible depression of some kind. Where'd you get that info, Raffaele ??

Misha has won so many matches for the David Cup that it doesn't matter if he didn't play that one, I know he'll play the olympics WHAT IF HE WINS, KITTY ?? we'll go crazy..

Would be a great thing Though personally I would prefer if he won in London in 2012! I have already put my name down as a volunteer for the London Olympics - so that would be even greater because I could be there and see it live

no, he got an injury during DC training

according to Sobkin interview they are doing all the best so Misha would be able to play Monte-Carlo
