So after two weeks in the clay of Paguera, Mallorca (1 doubles tournament alongside Brkic and one semifinal in singles, lost against the Norwegian young prospect Ruud) Kamil received a wildcard in Wroclaw Chally this week.
Unfortunately, he couldn't get any wins neither in singles nor doubles. Yesterday with Hurkacz, they lost against the #2 seeds, Brown and Cermak in a tight match that went to the distance. According to Kamil's words in Facebook, the better experience of Dustin and Frantisek prevailed in the super tie-break.
Today he faced #1 seed Evgeny Donskoy, and even having withdrawn arguably the worst opponent in the first round, he played some quality tennis and could have well notched a set. Pretty even match, with similar serve's stats, but Donskoy's jerarchy did make the difference. I'm sad he couldn't grab a new victory on the Challenger Circuit, but the level he showed doesn't belong to losing in the first stages of clay Futures. Hopefully he can gain some momentum now and start rising
