Re: Battle in Barcelona

Igor lost a set to a guy named Gabashvili (I don't even know what he looks like... and I had to check 3 times to write the name correctly )

Re: Battle in Barcelona

Well his match was def a battle but one he lost. First Dima and now sweet Igor so far its been a bad day in Barcelona for the Russian boys. Igor really should have closed it out in the 2nd. He's supposed to be good on clay what the freak is happening.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Re: Battle in Barcelona

I didn't know Teimuraz played for Russia. As a matter of fact I've never heard of him. He was born in Georgia and he's 21.

Here's a pic of him from the ATP site. His eyes are so far apart 0---v---0

Re: Battle in Barcelona

Well a part last year when he won Valencia in the begginning of the clay season i've always remembered him struggling a bit on clay at the first tournaments...
I saw him play in Monte Carlo and his game has really improved but he does quite a lot of errors. At his match agaisnt Ljubicic the 1st set was a disaster. I had never seen him do so many mistakes. It was like if it wasn't him playing there... Then in the 2nd he made his comeback by winning it but that's because he was himself again...he really played "his" game and didn't just play. But then he lost it in the 3rd again...
I think he really has to stick with his game. And of course commit less errors.
I don;t know if you were watching the live scores but even there you could see he often did mistakes.
Anyway lets hope it's just a phase that ends in Barcelona and that he'll start winning again.

Nobody can actually understand Russians. It's difficult. You can, but it's difficult, right?

The mentality of Russians, it's very strange. Actually, very strong on the court. We know what we want and we fight.

I'm not like American. I have my own picture on wall.
